    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

RE: Re: RE: Shock Change Gurus, Help! Got them done this morning. Removing the old shocks was quite easy. They were completely shot. One had some resistance and the other had none. The 66903 shocks went right on, after chasing the threads on one, using the parts supplied. I did not need to...

    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

RE: Re: RE: Shock Change Gurus, Help! I found that I could use the stock bushings, without cutting them in half, to install the shocks. No matter, OEM or not, they will be much better than the rags I had!

    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

Re: RE: Shock Change Gurus, Help! It would appear that you have either the wrong number or some other kind of shock mount on your MV. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/performance/psearch.php?part_number=34787&Search=Search The Monroe 66903 appears to have the bushings and cups.

    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

Actually, I got a PM that answered the question. I looked over the OEM and it looks dated to say the least.

    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

OK, I got the civilian 66903 shocks. I cut the bushings in half. There are eight metal cups to hold the bushings on the original shock and only four on the replacement. Do I use only the four for the new shocks or use the old metal cups to fill out the assembly? Does the new bushing ride on...

If you own an M35 you need this!

Judging from Ouverson's pricing on the lock out hubs and axles on the website, this should be in the $600 range to do. I would be very interested, even at that price.

    DEUCE spin on oil filters!!!!

Cold weather is obviously not a problem in Texas. But, I am going to the Baldwin filters in December's oil change. I change it every six months, probably no more than 500 miles, but oil can go bad with a diesel engine. Now, when John makes the secondary and final fuel filters adaptable to...

    Spin On Primary Fuel Filter

That the local oil change will do it without complaining and charging more is a larger bonus to me. Now if John Tennis will simply do the same with the secondary and final filters, everyone can change the things out in minutes. :)

    Spin On Primary Fuel Filter

I took some pics today but mostly you can see only the bottom of the adapter and the filter. If you look at the pics of the spin on oil filters you can see the same type of adapter. What John has done is make an alloy adapter base which duplicates the original can sealing system. The original...

Civilian Part Number for Front Shocks?

I think this may be a solution the problem. After adjusting the steering box, this seemed to be a contributing factor. On go the Monroes!

    Steering Issue

RE: Re: RE: Steering Issue Fortunately the oil was close to being full. David will test drive it in a bit and we will see what happens. The steering was too tight after finding bottom. I will back it off tomorrow and we shall see.

Put on the Spin On Filters Today!

They should be nearly identical to the primary adapter, just looking at them from here. If the adapter kit is as simple as the primary, you will sell a number of them, I suspect. Certainly gives the engine a more modern appearance.
