I have been involved in major road fuel tax cases. All fuel pumped from a terminal for vehicle use is taxed and paid by the buyer.
The government is not interested in quart purchases, hence no tax on the 'additives.'
My guess is that if you began to buy large quantities of veggie oil for...
David's ring has five holes, one offset, at three different locations. The screen shot makes it look much easier with only four holes in both the legs and rings.
If it ever quits raining we can look into again. Only an inch or so yesterday, so it was relatively dry.
Re: RE: Re: RE: Gun Ring Mounted
The problem we ran into was the weight of the ring was balanced on the legs, with the driver side leg and plate being loosely mounted. With them now bolted in securely, turning the ring will be much easier and safer.
But, without the TM you are sort of...
You do not use 500 gallons of additives without a fuel purchase. Those are unsettling prospects at best when confronted by the tax man.
I doubt our annual fuel usage would exceed 500 gallons, anyway. Used mostly in parades or just running it about to keep it from falling apart from sitting is...
A word of caution for you guys. If you are ever checked by the state for fuel type, they will attempt to attribute some form of mileage claim for unpaid motor vehicle tax on fuel.
Before diesel was colored for off road use, they would require you to show proof of purchase of road fuel and if...
RE: Re: RE: Gun Ring Mounted
The ring came from sermis, in Temple, Tx., the legs from Austin Weber in Marble Falls, Tx.
The front leg is set at the lowest point without cutting the leg to fit the fender. It could be lower, but the front leg would require cutting and having never set one on a...
Re: RE: Re: RE: I Need A Starter or a Rebuilt Starter
I have gotten a rebuilt one locally, Waxahachie, Texas, with the assistance of John Colwell. It ran $240 delivered to my town.
John is a good guy to deal with for folks in this area.
Re: RE: I Need A Starter or a Rebuilt Starter
I tried doing business with them, a small order only, and it was such a hassle, ending in a refund, that I will try elsewhere.
But, thanks for the tip, anyway.
These adapters are cleverly designed to work in place of the hard to remove cannister and filter.
I have had a difficult time getting my oil change people to mess with it. OK, so I am a wimp and let someone else do the work.
But, now they just call O'Reilly and get WIX filters for the most...
With it on the vehicle pics would not show much.
However, it is an alloy adapter which screws on to the existing bolt on the top of the primary fuel filter bracket.
The adapter replaces the steel can of the original and the same gasket is used on the alloy adapter. The spin on filter is then...
I just got jatonka's spin on primary fuel filter kit installed on the deuce.
Looks great, easier to change the filter and a quick install.
Now we see how it performs.
Your local tax office has it. I called ahead to give them a heads up on it before I went. They researched it and when I got to the counter, it had been located and no problem.
