    Our M-37's first public outting

Beautiful M37, but Marine trucks don't use the bridge plate on the grill, and it "should" have the tie down brackets that go around the rear tail lights. But you're driving her the way God intended, with the windshield down! They are a blast to drive with the windshield lowered.

    New to me 1968 deuce

Looking at your first picture of the front, it appears your truck has the early headlight mounting plates. You can unbolt those and turn them upside down so the lights will be at the top, this will be mandatory if you install the winch. Nice truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Rwminck On the lower hose, I set the radiator on some wood shims about 1-1 1/2" thick and fight that weasel lower hose on, then pull the wood and let the radiator set down in place in the 2 holes, has worked for me twice. Hope this helps.

    White M2A1 Halftrack

On the slotted bolts/nuts it takes 2 people, I used a 1/2" breaker bar with a BIG screw driver socket/attachment, and my son used the airgun with I believe 9/16" socket. On a lot of the bolts I had to tap the screw driver blade into the slot with a hammer due to old paint and/or dirt and rust...

    Weird coolant leak, need advice

Nstorke The bottom hose is a PITA to remove/replace I usually remove the grill and remove the 2 bolts holding the radiator in place on the bottom, and the one bolt/brace on top, along with the top hose. If you have a winch put a piece of thick cardboard over the front of your radiator so that...

That is a great find, a standard bed, some CUCV bumpers, and grill guard, and she'll look "factory."

Recovery of my Deuce, weekend of May 31 and June 1

Nice truck, judging from the bed it is/was a USMC truck, I base this on the welded on support brackets on both sides of the upside down "U" piece on the bottom of the bed between the rear wheels. I've only seen those on Marine vehicles, and not all of them had them when I was in (74-78). Enjoy...
