Have you measured the voltage to that pin at the MVLS connector? Just disconnect it from the switch and measure the voltage in relation to any hard metal surface (like a steering column bolt). With the PCB working correctly, it should show 24V approximately.
If there's no power at that pin...

I picked up a few task lights from EnteJager for both the M1009 and my XM1027. They are similar to the aircraft map light in the picture, but use "secure" white (IR filtered white) and NVIS-A green LEDs. I figured a map light would be good and would look right given that the military uses them...

You should re-torque your nuts after the first 50 miles of driving. If any of them were rusty at the root where it pressed into the hub/axle, I would just replace them - they stretch over time, and rust at the root is a good way to snap a stud.

If you do H4 bulbs, I like to import Osram Truckstar Pro bulbs. The difference is how they get the extra voltage support - Hella makes a 24V H4 but they double coil the filament (left), Osram uses a tighter single axis wind much like the 12V variant to get the same voltage (right).
