Does anyone know the part #s for the front/rear left/right wheel studs on a deuce?
I have a local "big truck" shop that sells me everything I need, but unless I take them in the actual studs or have part #s, they cant help.
I royally screwed up two of my rear axles studs, and one of the front...
The passenger side alternator on my M1009 was loose & when I went to tighten the upper bolt (which I could turn by hand), the bolt would go all the way in & then just spin and spin (with a ratchet).
The threaded hole on the alternator is stripped out I guess. What is the best way to fix this...
After my current learning experience with the rear wheels/tires on my deuce, I have decided that on that particular one I want to go to "super singles".
I know that 11.00-20 tires fit on the deuce rims, but do ALL 11.00-20 tires fit, or just the standard non-directional ones?
I would like to...
I changed the front 2 tires on my deuce with ZERO problems with my impact gun running off the emergency air line on the rear.
So one of my outer rear tires is FLAT....and I went to change it today. 3 lugnuts came right off......3 of the came halfway unscrewed & then unscrewed the lugcaps off...
What would I need to do in order to add another set of airhorns on the drivers side of deuce?
I think I would need to do the following :
1. Mount another airhorn on the drivers side
2. Splice power from the other airhorn to the extra one
3. Splice air from the other airhorn to the extra one...
I have to pick up two M1009s @ Ft Meade this week. Maddawg has a towbar that I can use, but he only has the bumper connectors for a deuce (1 inch pins).....I think that the M1009s use 3/4" pins and adaptors.
Does anyone have some connectors that I can use in Northern VA? I can pick them up &...
Where do I get a slave cable for a deuce?
Can I plug it in a deuce with NO batteries & start the dead deuce via a running deuce?
How long is the cable?
Are there different plugs for slave cables? (nato, etc) Some of my deuces have a newer looking plug than the old types I was used to seeing.
I have a dilemma.....
I bought 14 deuces with the intentions of using a couple for parts, due to the fact they were all bought WITHOUT a site visit & some looked a little rough from the pics.
Now that they have all arrived at my house, 9 run fine, 1 low batts, 4 who knows....
They all LOOK...
Can you convert a deuce into a twin turbo w/dual smokestacks?
I guess have 3 cyl going to the 1st one & 3 cyl going to the 2nd?
Would this give you more power or just blow up the engine?
I was thinking of a matching exhaust on the drivers side.....

My county is having its monthly "truck pull" at the fairgrounds tomorrow night....and I want to pull in the deuce.
Who has done this before here?
What are some secrets so I dont stall out & look stupid?
How will it do?
Thanks!
I need a LOT of new tires for my deuces & remember someone saying on here that it would be cheaper to buy tires that are already mounted on rims, that to buy tires & have them mounted.
Berg tire sold me some almost brand new 9.00-20's for $50 each....but s/h was $39 each....THEN I had to pay to...
I want to keep an air-impact wrench in my deuce, so WHEN I get a flat or need to change a tire, it will be easier. I found a cheap one at lowes for 30 bucks.....and I think it said the torque was 300 or 350 ft lbs.

I have been given 4 cases of ATF that is brand new.....and I can get more....for free(!)
Do I need to filter it first or can I dump it right into the tank on my deuce?
Thanks!
One of my deuces that has air-assist steering.....steers a LOT easier at low speeds, but, if I am at a stopsign/intersection and make a left turn....it turns very sharp and very easy (like a regular deuce as far as turning radius). If I make a right turn.....I have to make a HUGE right turn and...
I like the drivers seat in the deuce.
I hate the passenger "seat"....(hard A** church pew).
Where can I get a couple extra drivers seats?
How much will they cost?
How hard are they to install?
Thanks!
I hope this isnt a stupid question...
But, do deuces even need heat if its above -10 ?
I COOK ALIVE driving it around with the windows down, vents open and windshields up.
The engine throws so much heat through the firewall, will I ever use my heater?
