Price is a good question. It depends. If the owner is/was in love with the truck they might ask too much just because.
I have heard the line a few years ago – Well the scrap price is so and so – good thing metal prices have gone down.
If it is not rusty like you say, (No Pictures!), and...
The shifting in low is done by the same components in the front of the transmission as for high.
Shifting to low engages the reduction unit in the rear of the transmission.
So you may be okay.
Normally the difference between Hilly (F2 High ) and Normal (F1 High) is when the automatic shifts happen.
F2 High will hold the transmission in a lower gear longer. But all the shifts should happen without touching the shifter.

I don't see the 24087 on the list. I do see 34087 on the list but it has been canceled. Seems like in the past I have had HD pull up a flat color and use that for the color mix but just use a...
I cleaned out my cooler. I took the cover off the front and ran water inside. There was some black gunk in there. I did like a few others have and used an old hack saw blade and slid that up underneath the oil cooler and ran the hose at the same time.
Then drained the transmission oil...
Yesterday Tatertot and I had a good visit. Turns out we live about 5 miles from each other. I looked at this truck when it was for sale and passed. He is on the right path fixing this one up!
We visited my place where he got to see my parts trucks.
I know I will be helping him out with...
