I just got done repainting the M931 over the weekend and have some questions for people who have used the Gillespie. The paint seems very inconsistent with shinny and flat all over. also in a lot of areas and the carc tan is glossy. We shot the truck using gallons thinned with industrial...
I have searched all over trying to find a picture of a radio in a 900 series truck. My m923 seems to be wired under the dash on the passenger side but I see no holes from a mount. Any info or pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks

Does anyone know where I can Find a pair of these early style Ammo trays for a M36 ring. I was hoping to get lucky up at Tower Park but no luck. They need to be the early style with the metal clips on the ends.
Hopefully I'm OK putting this picture up from a site that used to sell them...
Does anyone know of any good parts sources for odd CCKW parts? I have a 352 CCKW that is missing the two spare tire hold downs. I have the tray on top of the fuel tank. I attached a photo of what they look like.
Thanks
Ryan
I thought I would share some pictures of my latest project on the DUKW. I finally got the ring mount painted and on and a bonus it fits in the garage with 1/8 of an inch clearance.

Well the Trailer showed up at my friends shop last Friday morning. With all the dirt in it we had to use his 10k forklift. We picked up and set it on to my trailer and now the fun begins. This morning myself and one of my guys started shoveling all the dirt and trash out of the bottom...
Well I did It again and could not pass this DUKW up. I believe at this point I am going to do a full restoration and paint her in the Iwo Jima colors. The hull has been sandblasted and painted but will require a few rust holes welded up. I hope to try to fire the engine this week it has been...
I just picked up a new toy so the DUKW had some company it's same age. It is a 1942 cckw-352. I am looking for a original front bumper and seats if anyone knows of any.

Hello All
I purchased a deuce the other day and I thought the data plate was tampered with due to the odd vin#. It ends up the vin# M35006 matches the frame number. After speaking with a friend at the museum he thought it could be #6 and if this is so he had the parts to convert the truck...
Well I figured I would finally post pictures of my newly acquired trucks. I just recovered the M817 last week and the M35a2 was a couple of months ago.

I just registered my first deuce at the DMV that was purchased from GL. I ended up having to pay a bunch of late fees because of the way G.L. fills out there paperwork. I registered the vehicle within 2 hours of when the sf-97 showed up in the mail and they charged me around $100 in late fees...
Hi All
I just recovered my first M35A2 from GL. I am having trouble trying to figure out what numbers are my correct vin so I can fill out My sf-97 form. I looked on both frame rails and found some random numbers on the drivers side but I can not read them. My Data plate has the following...
