    Droop screw questions

Ok, very little information about messing with the droop screw. Looks like some of the newer IPs have removed the droop screw all together. I already have the EGT and boost gauges installed, so what would be the drawbacks of basically removing it? Means getting more fuel in the lower rpms, but...

M200A1 springs strong enough for bobbed deuce?

Looking at the M200A1 trailers that are rated at 2 1/2 tons. Would these springs be good enough to use as the rear springs for a bobbed deuce?

The first step is to admit you have a problem...

Well, I just drove the latest truck 360 some odd miles home the other day. M109A1 is the latest to join the herd. The others are; 1969 Kaiser M35A2 - full cargo top 1971 AM General M35A2 - cab top, has cargo top, and I just got the cargo bows! 1971 AM General M35A2 - no tops yet

    EGT temps at idle?

Ok, I put the thermocoupler in, EGT gauge installed in the cab, and while at idle I am only getting around 200°f or so. When I rev it up, I can barely get it above 300°. And high idle of around 1200 to 1500 rpm is only around 250° or so. That normal? Or is my gauge bad (thermocoupler probe is...

Best WMO to gas ratio with FDC bypassed?

Ok, I need to make a trip soon and want to take my truck that has the FDC bypassed, but also want to run WMO to save on fuel costs. I know the motor will still burn straight WMO if I put it in there, but what would be about the right ratio of WMO to gas to get fairly close to the density of...

Why does one truck 'whistle' more? Both -1C w/ C tubos

Ok, I have two 1971 AM General M35A2s that both have -1C motors, and both have C turbos. One was built in 77, the other in 78. Both trucks whistle, but one will whistle a LOT more then the other. I have a 69 Kaiser that has the -1D motor with the D turbo. So I know the difference in turbos and...

    Simple length question for M35A2

I will hopefully be going to pick up my three trucks fairly soon. But I need one measurement that I didn't see in the manuals. All the trucks are WO/W, and I need the length from the front bumper to the rear of the rearmost part of the rear tire. Reason is, I will be using a trailer that has...

Trip from Portland south into Nor Cal.

I will be going to KLIEVER ARMORY NEAR PORTLAND AIRPORT to pick up three deuces in the near future. Anyone need anything there or near Portland hauled south?
