The lighs in my M880 keep clicking out after a while , expecially when running trailer brakes, emergency flashers or high beams.
Over the last couple of years I have gone threw everything and a while back I replaced the BO switch and it cured my problem, but it has since returned.
I thought...
Altho the suburban is easier to drive and work on, you cant stand up in a suburban... If you plan on having to live out of a vehicle for any period of time, expecially if you plan on parking it in a woods, I would go with the M109.
Well I took apart one of my 3 lever switches today and I have a couple of questions.
In picks #4 and #5 :
1 ) What is it ?
2 ) what does it do ?
3 ) Do they ever go bad and need replaced ?
I figure that in picks # 6 and #7 this is the 20 AMP internal Circuit Breaker that everyone talks...
Filters and pumps are cheep enough, But with only 1000 miles on the pump I think I would try cleaning it and putting the filter before the pump first, to see if that works.
4 to 8"'s of the white stuff, Are you serious ? Is this what that ground hog predicted ?
Looks like I am going to get a hunting License. this year...
Glad to hear you are getting the M soon, hope the recovery goes well.
Must be nice to have that many of these old Dodge military trucks around...
[thumbzup]
and it looks like the lower seat in your new one is in good shape...
Looks like a good idea having the video, But might I suggest using a younger woman in a bikini to model the stuff ?
using old "baldie locks" to show off the goods just doesen't inspire me to bid on a box of bags...
Just a thought...
I know some guys around here who have taken the Chevy rims and had the hub hole machined out so they could put them on Dodges and Fords.
I wonder if Uncle Sam asked Chevy to make the hub holes bigger on the CUCV rims so they WOULD interchange with the M880s ? after all, they were in...
Thanks, I did not do a frame off restoration on this truck because I do use it AS a truck. It also serves as my backup vehicle and seen every day action a couple of months ago when the trans in my Explorer went out.
If you go to the old SS site and look in the photo albums you will see some...
GOODBREWING : I thought of doing it that way, but the original wires that were taken out of the headlight switch were cut and taped, Plus I want the option to hook the 3 lever switch back up and "show off" the blackout lights in the future.
I have the wiring diagrams for both the civilian...
Well I tried to bypass the switch today but failed, I tried to jump pin F ( witch is constantly hot ) to all the other pins ( one by one ) to get the lights going . I figured that by doing this it would complete the circuit and work, But no dice.
Is this how you bypassed your switch ?
Got...
I think Alfa-Haven is asking around 5 to 6k for theirs. I am not sure if they actually get this but they do look pretty good, have hummer tires and most have low miles and the PS conversion .
A lot really depends on how much rust and dents they have, but most of the ones I have seen around...
318 CID
727 trans
NP 203 case
Dana 44 front
Dana 60 rear

MANUAL STEERING BOX ( but easy to convert to PS )
average gas millage is 10 MPG ( with cargo cover up )
will cruse 55-60 MPH all day long with no problems , any speed above that use a tail wind
Biggest problem...
Thanks for the reply,
I have made a pig tail with an in line fuse and will try to figure out what positions on the plug I need to wire in a week or so.
At least now I know it can be done.
Well it looks like my newer 3 lever switch is deciding to cut out on its own again, I can run the normal lights without a problem but whenever I plug in a trailer, run the emergency flashers, or use the high beams the CB in the 3 lever switch starts kicking out.
I am wondering if anybody has...
