Just to add a little more info, there was air leaking around the plunger, even when it was protruding out the back. Both times, it went back in where it was flush with the end but still leaked air. The first time I know for sure that once the plunger went back in, air started coming out of the...
Thanks Swamp.
I tried pushing in it with a flat head screwdriver but I did not apply much force. I wasn't sure what was going on so I did not want to damage it.
Rosco, when you say
What does that mean? How do I find out? I know my fan is free because it turns in the wind while sitting with the hood open.
Thanks for the link Stone. I have read that thread along with several others previously and while it was informative, it didn't really answer what I...
A few weeks ago, my shutter stat started leaking air out of the little pin hole. I replaced the two smaller orings and the larger black one this week. I took it out for a drive and it seemed to work or at least it didn't leak air. The truck never gets over 160 with normal driving to I thought...
For those of you coming from the west, State Rd 44 between Shelbyville and Rushville will have sections closed as they are working on the chip and seal. They were supposed to begin on it Wednesday.
I would be interested in troop seats for a M939 if the price was right. I would also like to bump my fuel up a few turns and 2-3 clicks of the gov springs if anyone has time to help guide me through it and has the proper tools. It is on my list of to-do's but I haven't tried it yet.
Oh, and I...
Anyone going to be around the Clayton, IL area that could pick up a hard top and bring it back through the Rushville/New Castle, IN area along I-70? I would be happy to chip in for fuel. I am travelling for work the next several weeks and it will be a while before I can make it over that way...
I passed some contact info for ARB to Those Military Guys. They were going to call ARB and see what we could do. I have not heard back so I don't know if they have been able to contact them or not.
I think most of us are thinking the ARB for the front axle but having a selectable locker for the rear would be nice also. It would probably cause less wear on the tires.
I have done several searches and I can't come across anyone who has tried the Gearhart locker. I would be curious to know...
I made it to Greensburg today. A couple of very nice ladies helped me out. I was in and out in about 20 min. There are now two ladies there that know how to do this process. If you want to make it easy on your self, I would recommend going there if you can. Just make sure you have all your info...
I have the title, I have my numbers painted on, I have pictures of my numbers for them to send off. I hope I have everything I need to get this taken care of. I attempted this once in New Castle and they looked at me like I had a third eye. I thought I would go somewhere that has done it before...
I am going to Greensburg either tomorrow or Wednesday to get mine taken care of. I know they have done 4 trucks that belong to another SS member. You do not have to have a CDL. Check out this link that explains registering the truck as a military vehicle...
I have not contacted them any further. We need an initial purchase of 50, I counted around 25 from this thread. Short of signing up on a bunch of 4x4 sites, I don't know how to get the word out that we could make this happen if we had enough folks interested.
What do you suggest? How do we get...
I have a few areas on my truck that I want to touch up but so far have been unable to find a color that matches. Do any of you know what paint matches the green/tan/black color combo? I need a little of all three! I would love to find them in a spray can for easy touch up but that is probably...
I have been working on a few things the last couple of weeks. I have installed locking door handles, battery cutoff switch, backup lights and a hitch. The only thing I have pics of is the hitch and lights.
