    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I'm surprised the trailer doesn't have more rake than that on your truck. I tried a tanker with a M916A1 and it looked plain goofy.

HEMTT Wrecker has a (PLS) Trailer!

They are getting hard to find. About 10 years ago, I had the option to buy up to 400 unused flat racks. I think I could have gotten the price to about $300-$400 each. I just couldn't afford it and I didn't know anyone else with a PLS truck back then. So I settled on a truckload of 10 flat...

Put the xzls on my m813a1

Your post has confused me. You must have 16R20 tires, because no way you hit 80 with 395s.

    M915A1 cost

If you tried buying one from GL anytime soon, you might just have $10k in freight to get it home!

    M915A1 cost

It is hard to compare prices between the primary and resale market. I have seen several M915A1s sold for around $15k, so $12k is not out of line, if a good, recent rebuild truck. I have also paid over $10k to buy a M915A1 from GL, get it home, and get it titled. YMMV.

"How to get a HET in life..." - M1070 Acquisition thread

You will need Soni's 10 Ton crane to do any work on that beast. How many people does it take to lift the air filter?

Post Your CUCV Snow Pics Here!

That suburban is awesome! I drove my truck to work today, but couldn't find much stuff to play in. I did pull a double semi up an icy hill last night.

Yeah, clepto was getting his chains ready!

To use snow chains or not?

Chains are awesome! I still have a few sets of new chains for 11.00x20 but maybe you could modify to fit the 395s?

HEMAT vs. M345 vs. M1076 trailers

My ... post was to edit a post where I thought you incorrectly stated M1076 in your post with the M345 picture. Or, you edited yours. Either way, I edited mine, but do agree both trailers are too much trailer for a deuce!

Wow, great pics! I think the wheelbase is the same, these things are long! Probably 25' behind the cab.
