Anyone gone the Gear Vendor Overdrive route rather than a 4L80 swap ?

cruising at 70 would be great. You could actually keep up with some of the other traffic. 75-80 is normal cruising where i live.

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

The tire would be up inside the wheel well if you flip it. Are you sure it wont fit?

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

I wanted to flip axle on top of springs on a 105 to see what it looks like. Should be pretty sweet.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Good to know The shocks weigh a ton for these things. You are right That tube is thick. I havent done any more with it. It looks pretty good lowered to me. Way more usable.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Oh yeah 16 foot lumber in a 7 foot trailer wasnt a good idea. I didnt have a 16 foot trailer... It worked though.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Ok the heaviest load I hauled was a stack of lumber 16 feet long. The tail was wagging the dog like crazy. I couldnt go over 25mph. Ok good to know it will handle 3k.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

I dont think you can really put more than 2k in one stock. Ive loaded my 105 with an insane amount of weight. Ill load mine up and weigh it and see where the tires go.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

I havent seen a picture of one with some with weight in it. ive laoded mine pretty full. I dont remember it squatting much. I think it would take 2k pounds to squat it where i would be concerned about being close to wheel well.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Yes just temporaily Im not using it like that. I will drill all the way through and bolt through frame rail before i use it. It would probably be fine the way it is. I just want it as strong or stronger than factory. I just wanted to make sure tires didnt rub. There is still 2 inches inside...

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

The 105 bed is wayyyyy Stronger than the m1101. I never would of bought the m1101 if I knew I could dent it with my fist... Especially for firewood. Love the hummer tires.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Ive loaded it probably around 2k before stock. So should be about the same I would think. Now that I have a worn out xterra to pull it with Ill probably never go past 2k in it.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

If i could get some cheap 15 inch 8 lug wheels. The trailer would be super low. Its really a workable height now after lowering 5 inches. Probably about the same as a half ton pickup bed maybe lower.

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

24 inches to the bottom of the ring. I measured in gravel so it might be a hair over. The axle has a mounting bracket. I bolted thru the sides just like it was factory. and where it mounts to trailer bed Im going to drill thru trailer bed and run a carriage bolt thru the frame havent done that...
