Well I notched the mounting bracket. Drilled holes to mount axle.I moved the axle flush with bed 5 inch drop complete. I will mount the tires and take some pictures tomorrow. I think the shocks will fit back on also. Kind of a fun project not the easiest thing but start to finish for me probably...
I broke both of my cables pulling some lumber out of my m1101. I couldnt find any on ebay so oreillys had some that would work.
Part number 38507 Made for a Ford f150 83-96. Might be a hair short but fit pretty nice.
I owned a deuce for about 2 years. Best 2 years of my life..... I thought about going to super singles but the 900x20s are so cheap... I never got my truck stuck in anything even in 2 foot snow drifts up hill.... have fun I ask uneducated questions all the time dont worry about it.
Poor 98G his luck is pretty rough.... I agree mostly on the manual over automatic statement. I have had a few f250's with automatics wow was it nice... I do enjoy my z06 6 speed pretty good it would not be as awesome with an auto.
So from what I read you did not do one of the trailer axle to frame of trailer. Thats what Im looking at doing. You said something around 5 inches? I guess if I remove the shocks completely I dont know what the ride difference will be. Im wanting to keep the factory 37's.
Order a windshield. Have half doors installed already. Doing the first oil change since new engine. Runs great almost the same top speed of the m35a2 i just sold. So far much easier to work on then a 13 thousand pound truck way faster acceleration... I miss my deuce.....
