It came off a 215 CAT excavator. It's used as the cooler for the hydraulics in the 215. It was a very hard thing to adapt and if I had to do it again I'd buy a HD off the shelf Allison stock cooler. I mounted it to the radiator supports. Wrong to due for I cracked the top support then the...
I never really saw many good things from a engine water cooler trans radiator other than if you lived in the Arctic regions warming the trans fluid when it's less 30 below. But in the summer the trans temp must run the same temp as the motor. I eliminated this stock cooler and went to a air...
Looks good! The 815 double cab are hard to come by. Most are single cab. I sold my 813 Kolos 2 years back. I miss it for being unique. I had high tire wear on the rears till I learned from a CZ collector to always travel with some weight to keep the tires flat on the road service.
I can understand them not wanting to loose those skilled workers not to forget a plant that works and has proven itself time and time again. I'm against selling Abrams to just anyone though.
We don't have the freedom to do what we want on our own land as you have in the USA. I don't think many people there know just how lucky you are and what you have received. If I cut a tree for no reason my neighbor can call the forest police and they will decide if it was a justified cause of...
Strange seeing a crack in a non stressed part. I have friends in holland who have these and I'll ask them if they have seen this before. I would think it's a manufacturing defect.
Don't forget the plow frame and plow block allot of the air flow what little you are getting at 25 mph. All my plow trucks had manual transmissions. I had no temp gauges on the trans but I'm sure they ran hot. The motors would run warm even at -20c but mostly from the ice/snow being blow back...
I would think the trans setup is HD but designed to be used more at speeds higher than plowing snow. Maybe not enough airflow? I doubt the motor is also heating up so changing the fan kick on temp might work against you making the motor run cooler just to make the tans cooler. I think the 8V92...
I've got some rentals this winter in the alps. I was lucky to win five 6 wheel chain sets for the 900's and made a trial fitting today. I must say it's not easy putting them on. I can only imagine what it's like to mount them with the wheel on the truck! The spider web chains offer the best...
I've been with the site since 2012 and I think overheating is the number one problem with A1's and a2's. I thought my cooling systems were in good nick and one day I had a hole in my A1 and removed the radiator for repair. The fluid at the cap always looked new but at the bottom of the radiator...
