I was informed by the Italian department of defense by certified mail AND direct visit from the Carabinieri (our military police) they will be visiting next Friday. They will inspect my security, gun breaches, certificates of demilitarization.
This has never happened before and after speaking...
I rented 6 of my trucks this last weekend to haul "troupes" from one battle zone to the other. I had no idea this sport was so popular. These guys spend hundreds to thousands of Euros on their weapons, clothing, and etc.. The USA forces were against European forces and the US won! Some of these...
Last Sunday I had my A1 and A2 out on a soft air tournament rental. The A1 started leaking just a little bit. The leak is coming from the tray below the radiator. I can see no direct leaks from the radiator. The upper and lower hoses are dry.
One thing strange is it will only leak when running...
I hope to make a camper of it so I can save on hotel bills while I'm a rentals with my equipment. I have some super singles I want to put on the front axle.
I was tired of the lack of low end on my one of my A2's and I did not want to mess with the pump so I removed the muffler yesterday. The stock muffler was 2 kilos more than a new muffler for it was full of soot and rust.
To install the straight stack I had to use the stock elbow below but this...
I was attending a rally with the 923 Sunday and coming down our Valle ( one way in and one way out) I found the tunnel blocked with 8 meters of mud, rocks, and trees. They say up to 2 weeks to clear the mess and build a retaining wall. A temporary road will be finished in a few days.
Well its not really original ex military but it will look better once it gets painted Nato Green. This was my top of the top horse trading I have ever done. I traded 2 old snow plows even up for the 3 axle. Im going to use it to pull my FV432.
This month has been busy and the wife is getting...
My 2nd M923A2 arrived today. The body is really nice and so is the cargo box. After my first A2 anything is better! I am afraid Im going to be in the dog house when the Mrs sees this one!
After saving for 2 years and looking all over europe I bought my first tracked MV. I have heard pros and cons to the 432 but its the only APC in my price range. Lets hope for the best!
The first of a 4 lot I bought arrived today. Trucks here in Europe are getting rougher every time they come up for auction. It does have a new or rebuilt motor and a new cab. I have never bought a truck with a new cab.
We have been told all 900 series are to be sold by the end of this year...
I have a 1966 M35A2 with the White motor and "C" turbo. All of my freinds who have M35's have the continetal. Im sure these motors were made to contract specs, no?
I want to regulate the fan clutch to turn on at a lower temperture. I see on the back of the sensor there is something but before I do damage I wanted to check with others.
I looked for help in the TM but could not find anything telling how to regualte it.
Any help would be very appreciated..
You might want to us a "motor oil flush" aditive. They have them here and I feel they work on old motors that have set. I also had a Ford F800 with a Ford 6 cyl turbo motor (ex US NAVY) that had low oil presure. I flushed the motor and cleaned the sending unit and it was fixed!
It bothered me...
The 23rd of this month is my first outing with my military club I joined late last year (Club Veicolo Militari Storici). We are about 600 strong with many WW2 jeeps, Mutts, Grants, Sermans, Jumbo Sherman, and allot of WW2 2 1/2 trucks.
We were going to meet at Piazza Duomo Milano which would...
Last tuesday my son and I took the M923A2 out to check the snow fall on a closed road mountain pass. Almost arrived at the top and I note the Temp is running up close to 200 F . I opened the hood and the fan was not turning. I remember my M931A1 could be made to turn manually my a bolt but I...
10 years ago I was tired of the pump shock and wanted to try straight soybean oil and sun flower oil. It was summer early and I choose a test truck with a cummins and was ready to see all the bad things happen to the motor people had warned me. But nothing bad happened till one late september...
