Went replace the input seal on the top end of my t case and noticed one ear on the flange was cracked all the way through. Thankfully i had a spare.

Nice looking truck, if you have a spare 3 lever light switch try swapping it out, they do fail sometimes, mine was bad.

Going to install new injectors on my next day off, fingers crossed, hope this is last high hurdle.

I got mine fron Diesel Pro, there are probably cheaper options.

Installed a spin on filter for secondary, still not running right, gonna change the injectors next. But it cleared up all my fuel leaks in that area.

Or is that a hydraulic reservoir? Unlike mine it probably runs:grin:

Finished the access cover for the rear steering gear box. Had to drill out most of the screws, found some replacement nutserts on amazon to replace the ones i couldn't re-tap.

Thanks got to get this idle issue figured out, i am reading troubleshooting stuff i found online, i may need a rebuilt governor.

No pics but worked on the goat most of the day, got my fuel pump issues sorted out, she will run. But can't get it to idle, one step forward and one back. Tomorrow is a new day, waiting on some advice from my detroit expert buddy. Still slowly making progress so i am happy.

The goat work never ends, you are making good progress, but, when are you gonna get that steering wheel back on the correct side?

Mark, i don't think this spring looks right, this is what came out of the pump on the transfer case. Do you still have a spare as i am zero balance. Otherwise it looks good inside, and i got the driveline buttoned up.

8 seems better than 4 considering what it does.

Did they mistakenly come that way from the factory or was it a error made by the maker of the transfer case?

So, i done right and didn't even know it.

Learned something new, i guess. Original flange on the left, only has 4 bolts, I thought the others had broke off, not so. Looks like it only ever had 4, replacement on the right that I took off one of my old spare t- cases. I'm this far so gonna replace it anyway, I think 8 is better than 4 for...

Forgot too much stuff, i was in a big hurry to get the motor stabbed in late last year. And i forgot i was missing some bolts in the e brake drum, dont know how they went mia but were gone when i got the truck. I bet it was some lazy sp/4 mechanic in a hurry to get done. I better fix it now.
