I have a friend with a generator that he thought was for a deuce. It's a Bosch RGR2400 NSN# GRC2440C219.
I've googled and can't find a result.
Anyone know what this is for?
Thanks
Mikey
I want to say thank you to Gimpy for doing a pickup for me on Lockbourne, OH of a pallet of winches and dropping them off at Fastenal.
Between his excellent and affordable service and Fastenal's cheap shipping, I now have even more options for wasting my money.
Thanks Chris! Your ratchet...
I know your batteries tested fine with a mm, but you should try fresh known good batteries or have these load tested. My money is on the batteries.
Also, some people say it's common for you to have to tighten the belts every three to six months on a CUCV. I put new belts on my 09 in January...
Right now the system has regular dot3. I did the water test. In your opinion, if I elect to go with synthetic, should I flush the regular dot3 or just add the synthetic?
Thanks
Mikey
Thanks for your input. I agree cheaper is a good thing, but the military did convert most vehicles, such as deuces, from DOT3 to DOT5, when DOT5 became available, because dot3 is hydroscopic and has the propensity to absorb water. I'm wondering what most people here have done, or are doing, or...
Hello,
I have Peter Debella's brake kit for my 53 M38a1 which includes a new mc, wheel cylinders, rubber brake lines and brake pads.
Is there any reason why at this point I would NOT want to convert the jeep from dot3 to dot5?
If the conversion is recommended, then what is the best process...
I painted my truck in May 2012. Behr over Rustoelum. Latex over oil based primer. 4 years later it looks fantastic still. I should add that the front wheel came off another truck last year and hasn't been painted. Also the bumper got chipped from hitting trees and I sanded it down to bare...
I had business accounts with BoA and debit cards that had many many automatic payments tied to them. One of my debit cards had a charge to a company in Ireland for $495. I called customer service and was passed through to the fraud unit and they refunded the money without any questions, but I...
It looks like you color matched the incredible hulk.
Here is the paint code for the Behr that I used and it was a perfect match. I know it to be perfect because my deuce sites beside my 5ton which was painted at RRAD in 2012. I'll never use anything but Behr again, even on my parade trucks...
Thanks to you and Mr. Doyle. If that is what he says, and his advice carries significant weight, then there is no point in me stressing over trying to find it. My color matches have been "good enough" for parade duty. I'll stick with those.
Thanks again
Mikey
For the record those instructions do not work for 24087:
look for "Competitors" in the system, then look for "Federal Standard" Then look for 34094
It seems 24087 has been purged from the HD computer system. I'm trying to figure out how to find true 24087 from HD now.

They DO scratch, but no easier than CARC. The scratches are surface scratches, not down to the metal.
Here are pictures of scratching on my deuce compared to my 5ton. The deuce was painted with Behr Premium Plus, the 5ton was painted in CARC at RRAD just before auction. The deuce picture...
I am still having a hard time with HD finding the actual 24087. I printed off this actual post and brought it with me and they could not find it. I even went on the day that the "paint guru" at my local store was working and he could not find it using the above instructions.
I have tried...
I need one pallet transported from Lockbourne, OH to 18470.

I have six trailers including 2 105's. Every trailer has a purpose and a place and although the M105's would be best for firewood, mine are 07 and 08 rebuilds and like new so I hate to beat them up. One 105 is also dedicated as a "camping" trailer. The M1101's don't hold as much as a 105 but...
Do what you will with the cargo bow mounts, but I used my M1101 for wood and you can't get much in there. I suggest keeping the cargo bow mounts to hold plywood for more space. Then again, you may not need as much space. I usually have about 10 cords before winter comes.

I feel like you'd be cutting a hole in a new pair of jeans to patch a hole in an old pair.
If it aint broke, don't fix it.
I was following this thread for quite some time until maybe the last 8 pages. Did I miss a post? Did you find out, without a doubt, what was wrong with the current...
