All good a lot more power, gas mileage stayed the same, 10. Used a Holley 600, the biggest cam I could use with stock pistons. Set the whole thing up for torque. Pulled a trailer and had no problems. The last time I had it out the gas didn't have enough octane so had to get it at the airport...
Done it over 30 years ago. You need to put a 360 torque converter in the engines are balanced differently. One is internal and one external but I can't tell you which. My motor mounts were different and the pan did not clear the frame. We fabricated new mounts and modified the pan, they would...
The chuck will be a Jacobs taper. It is a drive on fit no screw needed. Just clean both surfaces and gently use a big hammer. Open the chuck jaws as you don't want to hit them, and smack the chuck body onto the spindle. The taper in the spindle may be removable if it has a keyhole about 2 inches...
I've got the same size window in my 55 IHC 5 ton. The truck is a Zelligson conversion. I've known the truck since the 60's the top may be original. The window is one piece does not slide. Any automotive glass shop should be able to fix you up including the molding, mine is just a rubber gasket.
Mine blew an oil cooler line a few years ago, coated the whole underside. The only thing I can see it was filthy to work on and didn't do anything for rust
Thanks I missed that one, but I was working for an Oldsmobile dealer when they got the 350 and 260 diesels. I was the only one in the shop that had any diesel experience, so I had more than 3 people could do.
Mine is in the pto housing it tells the controller when it is in gear and lights a dash light. When the controller gets the signal and the signal from the shifter switch it tells the governor to increase rpm. The rpms should be adjusted to give 60 cycles on the meter on the control panel. There...
Check the oil lines real good, I had a new one crack at the block fitting and lost an engine before I got it shut down. I when to a hose shop and had a set made out of 300psi hose. Several years now and no problems.
I never use rebuilt, new are out there and the difference in cost is not worth the sacrifice in time and safety. I never have liked doing the job twice and to me brakes are kind of important.
It's about fifty miles, got a buddy that does heavy haul. Just got to catch him between jobs, buy the fuel and beverages. If it hadn't been sitting so long I would drive it. I'm getting where I don't want any roadside problems.
