I don't use the big pump ever to much foaming! I don't need the locking cap! Ive never had anyone steal fuel yet. I don't mind using the slower pump usually im in the station getting a Big Gulp anyways!!!
Well i put a brand new carb on and fuel filter and she fired right up! Runs great! I bought it for $150 from gsa and put $100 bucks in it! Not a bad gen for $250 total!! Very loud though will wake the dead!!
Picking up a 1972 M52a2 tomorrow in Indiana in The Layafette area! Truck has 9000 miles i will post pictures tomorrow. I will be taking non interstate roads home! Here is my route hopefully there's some ss members on my route home in case Mr Murphy appears!

That is the same corrosion etc you see in a copper plumbing waste and vent system usually in the vent pipes worse with a septic tank due to the Acidic fumes!
I bought the same kit for my son! It was half the size i thought it would be!! U need a microscope to assemble it! Its still in the box we ended up building a tank destroyer. He can tackle the m35 when hes a little older!!
Like Porky said back off the adjuster! When the drum gets worn you get a lip and its a pain to pull of because the shoe catches on it. You have to beat the heck out of ot to get them off!
