Keep us posted on the noise reduction, I'd like to see the before and after readings. Seems like alot of noise will still get through the glass? Strange as it may seem, my 66 which was rebuild at Toole in 91 is louder than my 69. The 66 was rustproofed which is pretty thick, and you would think...
Your right Kenny, I did get that tow bar. Went for a little more than I thought it would, but when you have a fleet and can't find someone to help you drive them all they sure come in handy
In reality if the buzzer bothers you, just shut off the power switch after you start up. I do have the buzzer hooked up on one of my trucks, and it is "loud". The best thing to do is start your truck, let the buzzer buzz, get out and do a walk around checking tires and such, by the time your...
Not a problem :) It's just like anything else, when you want it sooooo bad ya kinda get blinded till a day or two after you get her home things just start to pop out at you  (The girls all get prettier at closing time) It's always best to have a buddy or even the wife to go with you, they...
I'm sure that varies from state to state, I don't have to have a DOT inspection where I live in Colorado, pass all the scales and port of entries by. I for one hate the buzzer, I "m the type of guy who watches the gauge's as much as I watch the road.
On closer inspection of the left side of the motor I notice that it has the wrong oil fill pipe, it's also missing the oil level gauge (dip stick), not to mention other various peices parts. Could be a civy engine, and not the T245... Just need some better info
Wick246,
First I 'm not sure on the Utah laws, so I can only say what goes on here next door in Colorado. I did not have to get a DOT inspection for either one of my deueces. The only time I would have to was if it was being used for a "commercial" purpose. Next the NDT'S don't have a...
It's a nice thought, but I think they should be left for the school buses and fire trucks. I'm pretty sure they would be worthless "offroad" as deep mud/snow would just have them flinging around hap hazardly. Most times if I need chains, and its 4x4 or more, I chain the front only and I'm good...
Welcome aboard Sparky! First you need to fill in your location in your profile or signature (rules). Next, if you plan on doing a total frame up, worry about the engine later. If your planning on taking the whole thing apart, it's much easier to pull the drive line after your sheet metal is off...
