    I have not had to work on the accelerator cable, but removing the seat has proven to be worth the effort for my under dash/column work.

    I don't think it is meant to. The female connector pictured is #16 in your diagram meant to attach to a male spade connector on the left frame rail (#17), that in turn makes connection to the proportioning valve. Why? :shrugs: For me, it made it "easier" to pull my engine wiring harness...
