Heres some pics of my unit and my truck I just finished, just a little eye candy. I also wanted to ask you guys, I have to hold the start switch for about 60-90 seconds on my Southwind before it fires, is this normal.
I had some fuel issues with my M1009, thought it was the lift pump, replaced it, and still would not start right after sitting overnight. I guy told me to check the fuel filter housing because the are famous for cracking. Sure enought mine was cracked, it now starts like a champ.
Sounds like you should of just painted a civvy blazer camo. The military version is really pretty simple, and really has very few 24 volt parts on it. They sure start up nicer, and make a good slave to jump my m35's
Guys, I put the diesel heater in today, and it works sweet. I will never go back to a coolant heater. The amount of heat it puts out is amazing. Its really pretty simple. I will get some pics up of my finshed truck for you guys to take a look at.
Hey guys, wanted to pick your brain if you guys had any experince with the diesel fired heater in the M35. I am bobbing a personal truck for myself, and it has no heat. I have many trucks with the coolant type heat, and they work decent, but it is -15 out right now, very cold. Anyway I have a...
They way Justin is doing it, supports the very end of the bed, like he said. The way you proabaly done it was using the factory bumpers, leaves about the last 10-12" unsuported. This is fine for must of us, but he wants to a jib crane so he needs the support, for lifting heavy loads.
I figured that was the case. How many people normally show up at one of these? Sounds like alot people to me, I am only abou 1.5 hours away, but looks like some of you are pretty far away. But then again, I am going to the Florida rally, just because I am going to be down there on a...
I always go to haspin a couple of times a year, but never to your rally. I will be there this year and mabey bring truck or two along for show or play. I take it this would be a good place to buy and sell parts also? I have many M35's. Count me in with a few buddies
I have had over 50 of these trucks in trh last 12 months, and from my experince, the army changes out speedos and hour meters like dirty underwear. Sometimes they will put new ones in with a new engine, and sometimes not, just depends who does it and if its Friday afternoon or a Monday morning...
I see you guys have been talking about one of my trucks I built, very interesting. There is alot of work and time that goes into these things to do them right. If you have the corect tools and place to do it than go ahead. But there is alot of people whose time is more important to them, nor do...
Thanks for all the info, I found a nice one in good shape for $6k, do you think it is worth it? I thought it sounded like a good price, it does not have a title, does that hurt the price? Anything that i need to look out for before buying?
I have always liked the goat, but have never owned one, or driven one. What do i need to look out for when buying one of these? Is having a title a big deal for these, and are they even able to swim, or just cross a little water? Any info on these would be great, thanks
I have kits avaliable for $1800, its just a 7.5 ton kit, with a electric powerpack. I figure the regular cargo box, and truck frame is only good for the 5 ton rating. Any more than that and you will have problems. Check out one truck I have for sale...
I built a dumping duece myself also. I agree too as long as you stay within the 5 ton range you will be fine with the stock cargo box. Anymore than that, you are overloading the cargo box, truck frame etc.. At least you can do something with the truck with a dumo bed. Check out mine and other...
