My M135 made the 2000 mile round trip

It was a great trip all and all and the truck performed great. I have never taken the truck on such a long trip before and had some conserns if it would make it there and back with out any mechinacal brake downs and if I would have to get a loan from the bank to pay for the fuel LOL. The best...

My M135 made the 2000 mile round trip

Thanks for the kind words. The truck still has the automatic, but would shift down into second gear on the long steep hills. The truck won in the motor pool class at the MVPA convention so that was my reward for the long trip.

My M135 made the 2000 mile round trip

As the title says my M135 made the round trip from Onoway Alberta to the MVPA meet in Portland and back again. I made the whole trip with no brakedowns of any kind. The only real part of the trip that seemed to take forever was going from Kamloops to Vancouver and back as driving through the...

    Power plant heater

Hello to all. I thought I would post some pictures of my M135 in which I just installed the power plant heater kit I purchased from Butch Atkins about a year ago. I just had my cylinder head repaired with new stelite hardened seats as I had 5 out of the 6 exhaust valves pounded into the...

    Movie Star

As a movie truck this one has had a pretty good life compared to alot of military vehicles as I know the person that uses them for his buisness. I plan to go back to the dual rear wheels as I like them alot and hope to get one of the Canadian MLVW's in the future and aready have had some service...

    Movie Star

The tires that are on it now were the origional tires that came on the MLVW's (our Canadian M35's) untill they changed them over around 2000 for the radials and the combat rims.

    Movie Star

No cleb this truck was not from IMS, it came from another outfit that does rentals as well. I believe that there 3 outfits in the Vancouver area that rent out military vehicles and equipment to the movies.

    Finally I have aquired a M35

Well I made it home from Vancouer BC yesterday with the truck. Overall it was a great 600 mile trip with a few exceptions of some A Hole truckers. It took a little getting use to the shift patern of the M35 but I have the swing of it now. I have a few leaks to take care of then I will have to...

    Finally I have aquired a M35

That seems to be the canadian way as we do not have a large buget to work with the units stay in service a lot longer aroun the 25 year mark. The trucks also have the drop sides and use a V8 diesel engine.

    Finally I have aquired a M35

Yes I hope to find a winch from a fellow member for around the $1000.00 mark before looking for one at the dealers. I am keeping an eye on a MLVW heer at our local base as within the next couple of years they will be getting a replacement for the MLVW (Canadian M35's). The truck is a recme unit...
