Your door shape may of looked like that, but according to the dataplate, it has supplemental armor, meaning these doors. It is a piece of steel that goes over the door...

:ditto: I completely agree with warhorses. I would see if the musuem at Knights Armament would be interested. They are not short on cash in anyway and are always looking for rare vehicles.

So basically you have an early TOW missile carrier HMMWV w/ Supplemental Armor (aka X doors with a piece of steel added). Your truck originally had a slantback top and TOW missile fittings, brackets, and mounts. Are there any odd brackets in the back of the truck? Very rare truck.

What happened to your MRAP/Halftrack thing?

That dash arangment sure isn't right, it might actually be a prototype. Can you do any shots of the whole vehicle?

I have seen quite a few HMMWVs with the grille pushed out accommodate the 6.5T. But I just look on epay at a sand colored HMMWV in which the guy wants a $105K and his grille is just a standard grille like on 6.2/6.5NA trucks. Anybody knows why some are extended and while some aren't?

I think I remember hearing about a cut out "jeep" (not sir what type) at the transportation musuem. Bikeman, when you go to Fort Lee, could you take some pictures of the vehicles awaiting display? I have heard they are near a railway platform.

You will get much better help at the G838 board. They are dedicated to MUTTs and there is a guy by the name of muttguru who probabley knows about them.
