I recently read a thread that had a Deuce inspection PDF in it. ****ed if I can find it through search and looking at about 30 threads. Anybody know where that checklist is when you inspect a deuce for purchase?
TIA
Wondering how long the average A3 takes to get running smoothly in sub 32 degree weather? Mine takes 30-45 seconds of cranking( i know supposed to limit cranking to 15 seconds) to get it running smoothly without ether when the temp is low.
I replaced my ether valve with a new one since it...
Okay call me mr. observant, I just noticed there's a lever on the backside of the turn signal lever(has serrations), is this for 4 ways and how do you operate it?
Took my wheel and tire to the shop to get the grommet replace, they got the wheel taken apart in a jiffy, I had just gotten home, got a call apparently the turret valve had gotten hit somehow and bent, no wonder it was leaking. anyway I tried Eriks and a couple other websites, anyone know where...
I can post a pic in the initial post, but when I edit the post to add some more no matter what I do I it just puts a link in there rather than showing the pic. What's the magical trick?
I'm finally done replacing all the dogbones with new ones, replacing brake line, remounted tires, fixed a small air leak from one of the ctis hoses, then notice the truck is leaning noticably to the right.
Measuring between the drivers side tire and fender I get about 9 inches, on the passenger...
Okay I can forsee where this is going to go....:) Hey you dumbass no it wouldn't be good.....
Curious though, anybody try fix a flat for a slow big wheel oring leak? Figured it might be worth a shot before i pull the wheel apart, it's a very slow leak( about a day or two before it goes flat.)
Of course both the locknut and the adjuster are locked together on all these with rust or whatever, but I managed on one side to break them lose and got one side done to my satisfaction, the other side I cannot break the adjuster lose from the locknut and the whole thing spins forever. Is there...
The first time I push the brake pedal it has a lot of travel, firm at about 2-3 inches off the floor, if I let the pedal rise and push down again it's firm about an inch or two from the top. Is this a bleed issue or airpack or something else?
Read the Tm's , bought a 12 pound sledge(two pounds over the TM and still no joy)
Cannot loosen the uppers. The lowers are easy following the TM pound on the bottom of the bracket, the Uppers don't want to move with a bar and sledge.
Any suggestions?
Wondering what purpose does having the split rims have? Seems like another link to the road of failure. I have one tire going flat, spraying detergent and water around found it. It's the split rim.
Can't be any easier to change a tire on the split rim than a single rim.
2nd issue, this is a...
Was backing my truck into the garage after a gopher mound pounding in the backyard, brakes felt weird. Got it in and found brake fluid leaking all over, after more investigation found a brake line crushed and after further investigation the middle axle was twisted.
Found the dogbone came off...
The uprights look to be plastic, with the bows being wood? Regular cutoff saw work good?
Was testing to see if the deuce would make it into the pole barn. It's a 10' ceiling but 4" of concrete makes it super tight. I have to lower the CTIS to emergency and the light fixtures are still in the...
Recovered last Thursday. Truck is even better than the GL video showed it.
Typical surface rust here and there, cargo bed is surpisingly rust free, just a few scrapes on the floor that are showing some surface rust. Cargo cover has a few small holes in the top. Troop seats are in good shape...
