Thanks for the video. It sounded like either the fan was rubbing the radiator or a valve train noise? But other than that it looked good !! Does it have single or dual fuel tanks ?
I know between the Mep-004a and Mep-005a are the same I'm not sure about the Mep-006a? But I would think yes. as the control boxes appear to be the same.
Crank isn't a taper shaft. Its a .001 press fit on the hub. After looking at the pictures on my computer and not my phone . That crank is beat up a bit. Buy a new key and use green locktite might work.
That key is flat worn out !! So I would say there is your problem. Also the center hub looks removable from the horamonic balancer. So perhaps that piece could be had by itself. Is the crank worn any from the key beating it up?
Not familiar with the HMMWV. But on the 5 tons it's a suction system. And if we get a loose fitting or a hose with a small hole or dry rot . They do the exact same thing. Just thought I'd put that out there.
I'd go after the starter first and get it fixed first . Normally on mine I have to flip the battle short switch on to prime the fuel system. Then back off before flipping the start switch. It's normal to get the low pressure light on til after the generators running. Then you hit the rest and...
