I would suggest to run or pump out the fuel down to a few gallons. Then add 4 quarts of fresh ATF to the fuel. Go for a 10 mile run to mix up the fuel and clean the injectors out. I have found ATF has many uses with any diesel and keeping the injectors clean is one of them.
Finally installed the factory carpet over the DynaMat sound deadener. I had to send back the carpet 2 times before I got the right one. Now to install the HEMTT bucket seats.
<FYI> The correct carpet, rubber mat code for a 1086 M-1028 is G44932-0004, With this number the carpet is stamp molded...
Only store water in them if they have a NSF stamp on the plastic container. NSF means National Sanitation Foundation, and is safe for food storage.
I would use an IBC tote and stack them 4 hi for storing your fuel. Cover with a thick canvas tarp to keep prying eyes off and the sunlight out...
Replaced the air cleaner and installed a solargizer, I silicon-ed it to the top of the hard top passenger rear corner and ran the wires down the back of the cab to the battery box, I secured the wires wrapped in the black flexi stuff to the existing 109 box wires with tie straps.
Your solar panel has 2 wires going to the solar charge controller. The charge controller has 2 wires + & - hook up to the battery accordingly, If the charge controller has a diversion load send it to a block heater, 1 wire usually purple. A diversion load is good. The charge controller will keep...
I have a 71 single head air compressor, I have looked HI & lo for a TM which shows the breakdown of the complete system and to no avail.
If some one out there in SS land has a TM to post, I for one would be greatly appreciative.
Hey Jonesville, are you running a 6.2...? The most I ever added was 5 gallons to the 15 of diesel fuel. I had to run that out on a road trip there was to much smoke and the truck was a hard start after the experiment. I went back to a quart of oil per tank. Good luck.
Mwmules, Looks good. You noticed a big difference when installed. I was thinking of installing 2 of them, 1 under the heat shield and the second like yours. I am all about a quieter diesel if thats possible.
Ray your truck looks awesome.
I just ran across the info and thought it was different and made good mechanical sense.
I did not know this was previously posted. Delete the thread if it's a repeat.:doghead:
I have always admired Mikes ingenuity, He is working on a new camper version and I am waiting for the results. You have to give it to the guy. He does a Deuce Proud...!
I am a big fan of the Multi-Fuel. I feel the oil is the life blood of any engine and this caught my eye. I came across this pre/post lube installation and wanted to share with the site. I see so many uses for this engine the applications are endless.
