green fluid for green trucks
The deuce I have, has had the same engine coolant in it for 2 years. (I will change it this summer) I check the fluid level often and it is always at the same level in the neck. I dont know how it does it, but evidently they knew what they were doing when they...

welcome
Welcome to the site. I spent 3 years on this site at least an hour each day, before I bought my decue. I spent me first 45 years in the St. Louis Metro area, finishing up there living in Ballwin, MO (suburb adjacent to your community) before moving to Colorado. Best of luck in your...
meeting
I will try to be at the meeting. If there, I will suggest to the officers that we have any new guests stand up and introduce themselves, and we can point out Wallew to you. Two of our officers are on this site a lot, 70Deuce and Steelandcanvas. Hope to meet you folks. I would sure...
Land Use
Land Use is probably the term to google on with your state name and maybe 4x4 to get info on roads and trails and areas being considered for closure. Would definitely pertain to some in this hobby.
CA info California Association of 4WD Clubs, Inc.

closing areas and trails
Yeah this is a big deal with 4x4 groups and
the nationarl organization that also includes
ATV's and motorcycles.
I went to a local National Forest Service meeting on this 2 yrs ago. They had a national plan to go over all their maps and see which roads and trails they...
hey, over here
Give me a ringy dingy when you guys are coming to town.
That other guy, Ron, at GL there, he was a very patient and
nice guy too. Very sorry they are down to one person.
Were the M105's tagged for Guatemala and some other trucks
tagged for other countries, still sitting there?
see the USA in your deuce today
lets travel the country at 56 mph and unable to talk to each other while in transit because of the noise. Yeah. That thing is may work for Burt Gummers in survival mode but I sure would not want it.
Martha Stewart writes....
"Is there any practical reason to clean the outside of the engine?"
Yes, a clean engine is a happy engine.
I know a guy who runs his own trucking biz with some Kenworths
and pressure washes his engines regularly so he can catch
any leakage needing repair...
Test drive
One of you felllers go to the dealership in your MV and ask to take a test drive.
Have a buddy take some pics of it going down the street with
the magnetic dealer plate slapped on it. : )
Thanks for posting the pics. Using up a few wire wheels getting
the rust off and put some...
drain baby drain
I drain the air out of the tanks every time I use it, and even in this
dry air around here I still get mist coming out and drips of water
at the end, even after just a 20 mile drive. My objective is to make
this truck last as long as possible with few repairs or replacement
of...
Hobbyist Lobbyist
Come on. Let's play nice.
If interested, walk into your local Hobby Lobby and see
what they offer.
We have the CCKW kits here in the Springs, at the local Hobby Lobbys.
Lots of model kits of military ships, planes, a few vehicles, like a halftrack,
and a jeep, but they...
music
For parades, you may want to add a semi-mega watt stereo and speakers
to play military themed music, etc. In the parades that I do with the Marine Corp League, I follow our firetruck that plays the Marine hymn/piece of music thingy.
Sound really adds to the parades, the crowds love it...
summit
Highest through road in North Ameria, 13,185 feet above sea level, you can do it in a stock 4x4. I have done it in a stock Toyota 4Runner and a stock 2500 Chevy Suburban. The National Forest service roads are great, get you into really awesome scenery.
mountain majesty
For the first 45 years of me life, I lived in St. louis MO, From my 20s to 40s, I took driving vacations to the Rocky Moutain states and traveled and camped the back roads. Over the years I used; a 88 Ford Taurus, a 97 Nissan Atlima, a 98 Chevy Blazer S10 LT.
I drove the...
cross country touring
Good Gawd man.
Buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord for cross country touring on the interstate highways. If you are going off road, I suggest my daily driver,
a Toyota 4Runner.
My deuce is just used for parades. :-D
in the Springs
Welcome, congrats on the truck. I believe I have an extra intake mushroom, you can have, it has a dent in it.
Check out the Miltary Vehicle Collectors of Colorado. We just got done with the Veterans Day Parade today in downtown. Hopefully somebody will post some pics.
protecting the works
Thanks for posting the pics. I had no idea about this stuff concerning wreckers. Makes sense to protect all that mechanical stuff from the weather when you can.
