I drove the truck all day... and it's pretty much stopped. ( for now ) I'm sure it'll be back. I'll check the springs as time permits. Thanks for all the inputs guys!!! [thumbzup]
A little bit I guess, I worked at NSAWC on the Tomcat side from 2001 to 2003. We had a shukoi blue Tomcat that was "struck" about six months after I got there. Most of what we had at the time was old and very tired. ( Hornets and Seahawks included) There was a Desert cammo 60 with a red star as...

Looked at the engine mounts, X-fer case mounts transmission mounts and didnt really notice anything odd. It still does it, just not as bad. At some point when I'm not so busy, I'll look into it more. I have a long list of things to do. Shocks, oil change, tire rotation......

Howdy all,
Over the past month or so, i have noticed a "thump" under my left foot when I apply the brakes or after I let off the go pedal. It's has become more frequent over the past few days At first I thought it was my high-tech anti-theft device moving around the floor.
Checked brake...
I have 33 BFG's on mine. I get a little rub going from street to parking lots.... depends on the incline of the driveways. Other than that...no rub when turning. Great tires. Nice little hum goin down the road [thumbzup]
If you havnt already done so, ensure that you have disconnected your batteries. I have seen a few threads here where folks touched hot wires to various parts in the engine compartment with horrible results.
Best of luck!!
Welcome Beav,
I'm an old Tomcat Mech . Worked F-14's, F-18's, F-16's ( at NSAWC ) T-45's, and currently H-60's.
The tail on the F-4 looks like the old VF201 markings.....would there happen to be an "AF" somewhere on the tail?
I also worked at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum ( 95-99) I'm still...
Hey Koolex, If you do change both batteries, please please please be careful and mark your wires prior to battery removal. I changed the batteries in my first truck, didnt mark them, hooked up the back battery backwards and ended up frying stuff. Took a long time to figure out what got burnt up...
