I drained my air tank when I got home from work today and when I walked out to close the valve I noticed a small puddle of oil under the tank. Anybody have any suggestions on what may cause oil to enter the air system?
Thanks.
I finally finished the install of the winch onto my truck. It took about 8 hrs over 3 days and I got the cable on last night. The PTO was the hardest thing to install. And it works great. Here are some pics. They aren't step by step cause I got to excited after the first few steps to take more pics.
How in the world do you change the boots on the PTO? the end closest to the PTO will not budge is there something special i have to do to change them out?
Thanks
So I was draining all the fluid out of my new (to me) winch and found the right drain plug is stripped. How would I go about getting the @#$% thing out? Thanks.
I am moving next year and am wondering if anybody here has put an M105 on a Penske/Uhaul car trailer or seen it done. Just trying to find out if it is feasable.
Thanks.
So next year in June/July I am moving from Ft. Benning, GA to Las Vegas, NV. A friend of mine mentioned that instead of driving the deuce and towing the CUCV I might want to look into having it hauled/backhauled from here to there. (hauled to possibly Ventura, Ca, or Murrieta, CA instead of...
I have a 1970 M35A2 that I have had for about 5 years I have had the current engine in for about 3. I changed the head gaskets about 2 yrs ago before I moved to GA.
When I first start and drive the truck the oil pressure needle is in the middle of the gauge. It stays there for about the first...
What are the differences between the bumper extensions for the winch on the M35A2. I have seen 2 types, one that looks like it was built in one piece and one that looks like it was welded out of a couple of frame pieces. Is one stronger rthan the other? Thanks
Ok, this can fit in a couple areas but I will put it here for now. I am moving/PCSing to Las Vegas from Ft. Benning in May. I am driving my M35A2 with the M105 in the bed and towing my M1009. (same thing I did when I PCSed from Ft. Bragg, NC to here).
I plan on doing the repairs in Jan/Feb and...
Where does everybody have the fire extingusher and decon. canister mounted in your M35? I have a soft top so it can't go on the top. how do you mount them? Thanks.
Ok, do all dueces have the holes that you use to bolt the hard top to the cab or is that something that will have to be drilled if going from a soft to hard top? Thanks
I am trying to gather pictures of door markings (and any others) on Cucvs so i can figure out what i want to put on mine. It doesn't run so I am getting antsy and have stencils and spray paint, so I need to do something right? (and i can't fix it yet Since the IRS likes to take its time with my...
So I have an opportunity to trade my leaky hard top for a like new soft top and hardware. I was looking at the top and it has a snap where it goes at the top corner of the front window frame, the hard top has a screw that goes the same place. Is this a big issue if I don't have the snap?
I am trying to repair the steering column in my M1009. I have the column taken apart but am having trouble finding out what this particular part is called. It came from below the turn signal switch. sorry about the horrible pictures.
OK so here's the deal, My M1009 has been at a mechanics for a few months. I got it back yesterday but there are a few problems he couldn't get fixed and a new one. The new one is that the key is stuck in the run position it will move to the start position but thats it, he said it was easy to...
Ok, so here's the deal. A mechanic replaced what I am pretty sure was a 24 volt starter with a 12 volt starter but left the system 24 volts. Would that fry some other circuits or prvent the batterys from charging. or on the flip side he says it is a 12 volt system that had a 24 volt starter...
