Data plate I had seen for the XM381 deuce listed it as a 2 ton cargo truck. It listed it's empty weight at 10,300lbs.
The off road loaded gvw listed was 15,310
It had a total highway gvw of 17,750lbs.
I believe the rear axle weights were augmented with auxilliary spring set included.
Alan and his father were at the Marlboro Volunteers Show in Alliance, Ohio. They brought a great selection of different vehicle parts, used and NOS. Friendly guys with fair prices on everything.

I have 4 trucks with air assist and they work well. I would never pay big dollars for a used unit.

I have trucks with and experience with both.
For "off road" use I will take the Michelin XML's over anything else. Excellent grip and clean tread well.
For mostly "on highway" running I prefer and use the XZL's. Excellent traction on wet roads and wear well.

The National Guard was established as a federally funded reserve component of the nation's armed forces on 21 January 1903 with the Militia Act of 1903 under Title 10 and Title 32 of the US Code . not to be confused with individual colonial and later state militias whose roots go farther back.
Nice weather Friday and Saturday for the show. Small chance of rain later on Sunday evening.

Most of my deuce units have had White/Hercules engines as White owned Hercules for a while also. I've had a few trucks with Continentals with either C or D turbos. Here's a pic of the 1987 government repower dataplate in my 1970 truck.
