How about use a front axle engage switch and just have some air lines made up. I would bet it would be just as cheap and alot simpler. The axle engage switch already has the auto vent when you turn it off also.
Hmmm. I didn't know you could bleed air brakes. Are you talking about any water in the tanks or water in the lines? Or was this sarcastic humor? I find it hard to tell online which it is sometimes.
Yeah they tend to shift a little hard at the 1-2. I found it was worse when I coasted to a stop easily. If you brake a little harder instead of coasting under 15mph it was it's not nearly as bad. Mine would toss my dog off the passenger seat.
Hey nevrenufhp, where were those air filter results at? I must have missed them. I was looking at installing that smaller air filter kit that one of our members sells. I thought it showed more cfm than stock? Maybe I misread. Do you have a better solution to the stock restrictive air filter?
I wouldn't exceed 85 psi, the tires are rated for far more but the rims have a max pressure note of 85 psi. Look for it on the front rims between the outer nuts. I have 70 psi in mine no issues here, I've hauled up to 7 tons in my truck. Seems like I saw a tire pressure spec sheet in a TM when...
ABS activation wont make it spin, it pulses the brakes many, many times a second. As fast as it activates you won't completely loose brakes on one wheel in the rear to the point that it would cause a spin. The reason it's not on the front is the amount of weight that's on the front makes it...
+1 for what he said. I've just been to busy as of late to add that.
Also you have to think about the fluid expansion due to temp. Fluid temps can vary drastically due to ambient temp, fluid at operating temps are typically predictably close regardless of ambient temp.
For example fluid level...
My 0.02 just worry about the running level of the oil. It's going to read high when it's not running, the pumps not pulling oil from the sump and not circulating it, passages drain and so on. All this plus the massive size of these units adds up to higher levels with engine off.
Pic 1 I would...
Pinion seal or 3rd member to housing? Pinion seal is fairly easy, the 3rd member (or what I think it's called) I think you have to pull the whole housing out from under the truck to remove the gear set. Check your axle vent 1st.
We had plenty of hot dogs, drinks, and chips. I had a uneventful trip there and back but dogs find out that is a bad idea to leave extra canned drinks in the bed of the 105. By the time I got there I had busted 2 root beers and a Sunkist. It was all over the floor.
Just ended up being Capehenery, me, and my wife. A little more than 450 cars and our 2 M923A2's and my M105A2 trailer. They were well received, lots of kids climbing in and out. Lots of service men and women, and lots of interested folks.
