Funny you should ask, did you release the parking brakes? Rtv the axles when replacing. Easy work, although my brakes cost $16.00 for both sides. Sorry work for NAPA. Good luck!
I agree with Warthog, go with the regular upgrades. First thing I did was the coffin filter, and went with a spin on. Lost prime too, so I changed the mech fuel pump, and changed out the sending unit. Real big improvement all the way around!
Check and do the regular mods suggested by the oldtimers, my suggestion from experience is to get rid of the old coffin fuel filter. Add a spin on fuel filter with water separator. Also check the sending unit they get dirty with these old trucks. Good luck bro!
