He said his dad worked at the Flint GM plant for 30 some odd years. And I'll have to ask him again, but he also said his dad worked the CUCV line from the first truck to the last. I have yet to talk to his dad, I'm sure that he "touched" just about every one of our trucks in one way or...
I work with a guy at my squadron whos dad worked for GM on the CUCV production line back in the day. Says he's got all kinds of crazy pictures of the CUCV's awaiting delivery there in Flint, Mi. I'll hit him up again and see if he's found any.
Radio shack also carries 300 ohm resistors in a pack of four or five. I just used one.... attached it to the posts were the stock resistor is and it works.
Even after 50 years, Able Dog Skyraider can still take a hit...and keep flying.
Still not sure how it all happend. It is sad that Big Beautiful Doll was lost. Aircraft in a lot worse condition have been brought back to life. Old warbirds and current aircraft in the inventory.
Darn light bulbs.... Had my brake warning light fall out from behind the cluster this morning. I had been wondering why my coolant/brake light hadnt been flashing when I crank the truck up..... After some fussing and cussing.... it they work again.
Nice truck longda!! [thumbzup] Sounds like you are on your way to having a great running truck!! The frame of your truck looks really clean. Did it spend it's life out west?
I tried the cleaning the plug on the motor thing. No joy.... It was really dirty, I might try once more. Had been planning on R&Ring the wiper motor anyway. The whole thing is pretty crusty.
I figured it was one of those " it's supposed to work like that " things. Thanks for starting this...
After reading this thread, I have the same problem. Thanks guys..... The truck has done it since I bought it last year and didn't give it a second thought. Guess I was thankful that they worked.
Thanks again guys!!!
