I've seen a few LDT engines with a listed 140HP listed on the engine tag. In fact I own one. A couple different examples. Both of these engines were in deuce dumps.

I've seen the DOT boys at the Brownsville,TN scale on I40 take the lugs off trucks before. This "republic of any state crap" does get old.

Tough putting a neck on a trailer with a loaded deck height near 4.5'. M295 a better prospect for use as custom trailer.

It should be a good fit. A lot of the "Little Debbie" trucks were equipped with 4BT's in front of T400 transmissions. While not a BT series engine, this little Cummins will work it's way into a Ferd Ranger with a 5 speed behind it sometime in the future.

Over a 4 day period I used 420 gal. to travel 2,679 miles towing a load of 4.5 tons with my XM818,(included passing through the Rockies, do the math).

I had read somewhere the M54A1 designation was given to the Mack powered units in June 1962. This upgrade didn't last much more than a year as it was decided further upgrades would receive the LDS-465-1a multifuel.

The weather was great!

It has been for sale on various sites for several years.

I think this 11R20 equipped singled deuce looks just fine. And I'd like that for a trailer also!
