    EUC- Something New

I sent my EUC in for a 1966 M101 trailer on December 4th, my email response from GL is: Dear Mr. Gray: Thank you for your email. Your EUC has been randomly selected for Periodic Assessment. Much like a random baggage check at the airport, the Government has selected your EUC for Event...

Wisconsin Robin 3 KW Gen Set EUC Issued

GL doesn't like to waste a time slot on letting you look, at best you can call for a 15 inspection appointment but then when you get there they only honor the appt. if they have someone available to escort you! Or at least this has been my experience, some of the smaller sites are a lot more...

Wisconsin Robin 3 KW Gen Set EUC Issued

I hope your luck is better than mine with these sets, I got four all total from GL in Hooks, TX, the first one has a seized engine, it looks like is was left outside with the primer plug out and water got into the cylinder. The second one turns over great and puts out a great cloud of vaporized...

Questions for all you 543 owners

About 53 is as fast as i have gone in my 543a2, I could run faster but never tried. 45 is a comfortable speed for me in a machine built in 1966 and weighing 42000lbs. After all JT is right on capabilities and it is not a speeder. James

    My Last Truck Purchase

The bows and troop seats were from a earlier stop, the troop seats were supposed to be fiberglass but it turns out they are half and half wood and fiberglass? I think the large data plate is for the rear pto operation for the genset/welder in the maint. bed. James

    My Last Truck Purchase

Won a M715 (726) Thursday, the last truck on my list, since God has convinced me through several failed attempts of obtaining another 5 ton that I just don't need one. This is a GSA auction win over at Goldsby OK( so I will Be receiving my SF97 in a day of two, free of charge), they had a...

    1/12/10 GSA Deuce fire truck

I am glad it got home OK, I watched them hauling it around yesterday, they try pretty hard in Goldsby to take it easy on the equipment. I won a M715 winch truck there. James

When you get off the interstate there will be four way stop, take a left on I think HY 116?, it is about two miles on the right, you can't miss it. James PS: Everything there is rough, make sure you have a spare and for sure go in the office.

    SE Kansas Junk Yard

The AC unit was kind of unique! I tried buying some of the winch parts off one of the five tons and it was a no go, he says he uses the same winch on his wrecker so no sale on winch system parts, he didn't seem real interested in selling any of the 5 ton stuff. Next time I am up that way I...

    Wrecker parts info

Last year I was up at Memphis Equipment and they had a pallet stacked waist high with spades, all looked new, when I asked they were a special order from the gov., MEC had them made somewhere there in Memphis, I think they were $300 each. James

    uhh where did Memphis go?

From what I have seen they live off filling federal contract for obsolete material and sells to foreign governments, a couple of months ago I posted some photos of 10-15 referb. 5 tons heading overseas. James
