PS: No response yet from GL
Anyone else win a Deuce in Little Rock yesterday? I got the one with the box in the back. A little more than I wanted to pay but only 80 miles from home.

Ifind your lack of faith distrubing!
O Yee of Little Faith, I am sure the folks at GL will be understanding of my plight. I made the inspection, the actual day the auction ended, made my bid on what I saw; the truck was not drivable since none of the 40 trucks up for sale had batteries! The...
Oil
By the time I got to the gate there was no oil showing on the stick, the residue on the stick looked fine, just black like the oil on the ground. While the truck was idling in the yard there was no leakage, only when I drove it( or it may have been filling up the overflow tank)? The...
Went to Hooks to make my second recovery attempt on the 818, used all the good info given over the last attempt, while following the fuel line I found a fuel shutoff just before the primary fuel filter housing, opened it and checked the fuel shutoff on the IP and she started right up, rough but...
They are in the same state but a couple of hundred miles apart. Pulling the drive shafts are no problem so getting it on the car hauler is the easy part, but I have no experience with 1/4 tons and stuck clutch plates. They appear a little more delicate than my 5 ton!

Recovery
I went to pick up the Willys, will not move! Looks like the clutch is stuck to the flywheel. Whats the easiest/least damaging way to pop the clutch loose?

Welcome
Telwyn:
Great looking truck and welcome to the site, I don't know much about LR but I have been trying to buy this one from a local restaurant. that's using it as yard art; for a couple of years it is a good deal older than yours but I have always liked the look!

FleaMarkets/Junk Shops
If you have loocal junk shop have a look there, over the holidays I was in Tunica,MS and found a propeller shaft for the winch on my 5Ton, it was in a pile of stuff by the front door. And guess what I paid for it $10, OD green and he thought it was off a John Deere, if...
While out Junk Yard roaming I found a good size Vice for my wrecker, I own one now but it is in Tulsa and out of reach so for scrap value ($10) and a little Silikroil and some tapping I now have a pretty presentable working Vice for the M543A2!

I Will check
Tim:
Next time I am through I will check on the other truck, he is pretty proud of his stuff, I am still dickering with him on the 211, I am not holding out much hope on a price break, he has had them for a while and is not too inclined to sell.

Talked To Him
Had a close up look at the Deuce Tractor, "he says" it has a good motor and transmission in it and it was running great six years ago when he backed it in where it is! It has single on the back, vertical pipe is toast and the pintal is missing. He has it sold in the spring to...
While I was looking at a M543 in a local junk yard I noticed a M35 Tractor there, it is the first one I have ever seen. It looks like like a really short wheel base'

It is a Gasser
Had a look at the truck, it is a gasser for sure a M543 unmodified. I am going to give him a call Sat. on what he wants for it, except for the bed it is pretty complete but it has been sitting for ten years. He still has the bed but it is not for sale.
