Throw it over the top and square it up on the trailer. You might want to "hospital corner" the corners to take up the extra material. Fold the pockets away from the front so they won't catch the wind. I like to use the rubber bungee cords, they seem to last the longest. Just my 2 cents.
I hate that...when you try and mount your drive and you leave out a space mark. Thanks Drew for getting her mounted and putting the space mark back in the space where it came from...;)
This is one awesome parade! I grew up in Torrance and have seen this parade many times as a youngster. I climbed on my first armored vehicle, saw my first Deuce in the staging area there and have many fond memories of the Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade.
Don't you have a hood retention hook on the cowl? I don't know if it would work with the hood being 8" further away, but you could always fab some kind of extension up. You know you'll leave that bungee cord at home, and then you won't have a way to keep the hood up off the side of the road...
Good idea. If taking it to a mechanic first will make you feel more comfortable with your vehicle, then do it. It's nice to see your willingness to study up on your TMs, welcome to the site.
Sewerzuk started a very informative thread on installing a PLC on a MEP. Maybe this will help you:

Never mind, I see you have already spotted that thread.
Nice kit for someone who wants to display the correct BII. I would advise folks though if they travel any substantial distance from their LZ to carry a lot more. Duct tape and tie-wire have saved my butt a few times.
What condition are your tracks in? Was the original drive train beyond rebuild? Our Club has one that was donated to us, which a few of the Members are actively restoring. Parts are difficult to find, but that's part of the challenge to restore such a great, rare vehicle.
