I should edit that...
I was going to Charleston to pick up something for Soni, however he changed his mind (long story).
So I'm no longer going to WV...unless the trip is made worth the additionl Diesel expense...LOL
I'm really enjoying this thread. Being that I just picked up 2 105's that don't have a purpose yet.
What did you do to overcome the extra heigth. Did a Genset trailer tarp cover it?
Looking good so far.
Well things are changing yet again. The load from Hooks to OKC was a favor to M1075, however it may not work out that the timing is good for the recovery. If it is I could tie them down to the top trailer of his 2 stack I'm anticipating to move. How many and what size? Could be a 8!7(#...
I was going to say add M918 to the list but I've never seen one, only TM pics... I wonder how many were actually produced, for all of them for that matter. Would be nice to know actual numbers.
Yup Vulcan made many of the Bravo trailer's for the AF. The reg number was most likely 84BXXXX with the X's being the last four of the trailers S/N. Depending on when it left the AF inventory it may have been five X's as LRS has changed from 7 to 8 character reg numbers in the last 2-3 years...
I meant the overhead height...
Heights don't bother me in the slightest, bumping my head is always a concern.
Your truck is really sharp looking, did you get that from GL? Now I'm jealous...
M270 looks like an old 80 something bravo trailer from the USAF. If I was to guess late 80's based...
Actually I was comparing the forum to the TM's, I didn't specify where the manuals came from. My point was and to use your example, she didn't post how do I change a light bulb, she downloaded the TM and looked it up. She found not only the procedure to do the task but the replacement parts...
I've been looking for another trailer to go with my M915, a good low-boy to help with recoveries. I've also considered a Tru-Hitch and mimic James setup.
Well apparently I can do both, with the FWTRD/HMRT.
James posted a pic in Bruce's HEMTT thread that lead me to the source.
Enjoy!
And yes...
Most people think the CUCV's biggest issue is the electrical system. While there are known issues the biggest problem and this is really across the board with vehicles in general is people properly educating themselves on the vehicle. Most people consider a home electrical panel to be...
Follow SW's advice and download and read the TM's. Not having a CUCV I read up a little and suggest you do the same. My reply was only the tip of the iceberg of common problems. The TM's go very deep into troubleshooting and checking even the smallest component.
I'll give the army that their...
