    I replaced the plastic ones with metal. No issues since. I also put a valve between the two motors so I can slow down the passenger motor.

    Get a chiltons or haynes repair book, aka tm for your car and look it up. Should not be that hard. If it is just bolts, get some good grade 8 hardware and bolt it back up. Also post a picture.

    Your grounding conductor will keep the frame grounded and drain short circut current. the finer the strand the more flexible and more current the cable will carry. Inspect your cabling before each use for dammage as well.

    That is correct. Make sure you have the frame of the gen set grounded. If you are using aluminum wiring use a no oxide compound. It is also good practice to use it on copper that is out doors as well.

    Do you hear a click from the solenoid? You may have a bad start button. You have to push hard and constant on it.

    Hope you have the extra rear member that was cut off. Otherwise it will get expensive quick to ship in the chunk since you have some bad teeth. Change the gear fluid and you will probably find metal in the fluid.
