    Injection Pump Removal

Do yourself a favor. Go to the Resources section, and under Tech Manuals , find TM 2320-361-24-1. Download it, go to Chapter 3, find Fuel System, then find Fuel Injection Pump Replacement and follow the instructions. Good pics also. You will learn a lot by doing that. BC

    F-head Carter YF/YS carb gasket part #?

Clinto, If that Jeep were hanging out in my backyard with that situation this is probably what I would try. Get a piece of fairly thin flat stock, drill it for the studs and slip it over to keep crap from falling into the manifold. Spin a proper die on one stud upside down, saw the stud off, do...

    Pyro Calibration?

FMJ- don't know the answer to your query about different resistance for different lengths. Attached the instructions that came with my unit. Perhaps that is part of the reason they say the accuracy of the system will be within 2% at 1200 deg. under average operating conditions. Open in new...

    Pyro Calibration?

FMJ The resistance in the leadwires should be 0.23 ohms per foot per wire for starters. If you don't get that check for oil, grease or looseness at the terminals. The pyrometer is calibrated for use with 6 to 15 foot leadwires. At least that is what it says in my instructions. Maybe helps...

    Deuce brakes

OK Jake0147, pretend I'm from Missouri, The Show Me State, and show me some technical information that describes your version of a air-over-hydraulic brake system and labels it as such for comparative purposes. I'm trying to figure this whole thing out. To the best of my knowledge, brake shoes...

    Deuce brakes

According to figure 3-47 in the link I posted, a Deuce would have air-over-hydraulic brakes. Jake0147, I think you are a little off when you say in your explanation of an air over hydraulic brake system that "you essentially have two complete braking systems." All I see is one typical hydraulic...

    Turbo slober

I'm interested in the fact that some people think the 15W40 breaks down quickly in older diesel engines. So my questions are. What is an older diesel engine? Mine is a 1985 multi. Is that considered "older"? What is "breaking down" in the oil? How are you determining that it is "breaking down"...

68 deuce valve that feeds fuel to intake side if turbo leaks help.

Pull the lines and unscrew it. The nut is a locknut so you can screw it in until it is tight with the flat side up for the fuel lines and then snug the locknut. BC

    Engine Houres/Turbo RPM'S

    Engine Houres/Turbo RPM'S

AaronW- Thanks, that sounds reasonable. jwaller- I've got to think about that. Seems that only so much exhaust can can be produced at 2000 RPM no matter what the load is. You are filling and emptying the cylinders the same amount of times. A little more air in as boost increases, and more fuel...
