I'm looking at shipping a 3 piece M35A2 canvas cargo cover. Just the canvas and ropes, no bows, etc.
Does anyone know a number I can use for estimating the weight for shipping?
I would weigh it but I am an hour away and stuck at work allllllllll day.
I had an air leak come up on the copper line compression fitting that is at the compressor. It is the large line (1/2"?).
The leak is coming out of the gap between the compression nut and the line itself.
Maybe the ferrule is undersized from age? Can I replace just that?
I tried disassemble...
Seeing all the threads on here about different bed cranes got me hunting the local craigslist for one. I think I got lucky and I scored this heavy duty looking Stratton hydro-pneumatic bed crane for $150. I had to drive an hour and meet a guy at 1am after he got off work to get it but I think...
I went to look at a M35A2 and extra rolling chasis for sale today near me in Greensburg, PA. Attached is a picture of the obnoxious green machine that has been parked for many years.
The guy is willing to sell parts, for pick up only. If you get in touch with me via PM I will give you his...
I did some searching and got conflicting answers.
I want to install fuel gauge(s) to keep an eye on the condition of my fuel system and particularly the fuel filters because I run waste oil.
I thought I read that the pressure delivered to the injection pump was 6-8 psi, so I got a small Mr...
Myself (M35A2) and Buzzinhalfdozzen (M818 on 53's) went out in the woods Sunday and had a blast!
My favorite pictures are attached but the rest of the pictures and videos can be seen at Pittsburgh-Offroad: Mountain Maneuvers........
I figure we covered about 10 miles offroad over rocks and...
Can someone verify my plumbing is correct? I did a lot of reading and studying pictures but I couldn't find anything matching mine exactly so I hope I got this right.
I have the engine coolant heater installed down low in the water pump by generator.
When I say rear or front, I mean in the...
I'm installing a secondary stock fuel tank on the driver side where the spare tire was. I picked up a complete tank with sending unit and pump.
I did some research and I read it is a pain to plumb the tanks to the same line, and it is easier to pump fuel from the secondary into the main tank...
In my quest for the conversion from the sprag to the air shift, I have acquired two air shift cases with their own unique problems at a fair price.
In the pictures, you'll see that the one on the left has a broken mount. I assume this was broken when the truck that it was in was rear ended and...
From a private seller I got a deal on an M105A2 and what the guy called a generator trailer. I attached pictures of both. The mystery trailer is the flat bed one. Any know what model trailer it is?
I think I did good for $650 for both.
The M105A2 has a green cover in the bed and only light...
This isn't at a salvage yard but I thought I would post it here to share with anyone after these.
I was at an out of the way saw mill to look at trailer and the guy was showing me everything he had and this was the most interesting thing to see.
He rattled off all the spec's on it but all I...
I found a boat cover and canvas shop that said they would shorten my M36 extra long cargo cover to fit my M35A2 for only $40! That might go up once they start wrestling with it!
The only thing I found searching was someone thinking they're 14' x 14'.
Can anyone confirm what the length should...
Installed a remote brake fluid reservoir today and made a pressure bleeder from a weed sprayer.
That old DOT 5 brake fluid that came out was nasty. I used a gallon of DOT 3 today flushing and filling.
I bled the airpack then went to the rears and finally the front. I kept pumping the sprayed...
I thought I saw someone post a link to an air tank drain valve that automatically dumps water when it fills. No manual work. I think it was around $50. Was I dreaming or do I just suck that bad at searching?
I did a ton of searching and reading using the advanced search for instructions on putting the arctic grill on the front. Everyone says it is in a TM but for the life of me I can't find the instructions. Any help there would be appreciated. - Disregard, I see someone posted the specific TM...
You can see in the 2 attached pictures I rigged up a gravity feed WMO filtering system this weekend.
I have an open top 55 gal drum up high with a 400 micron strainer in the top. In the drum are 2 super duper strong magnets next to the shower drain I put in the bottom. Directly below is a...
Cheap, free, borrowed, whatever.
My battery box is about the only thing rotten on my truck (see picture).
I got to thinking and did some measurements and found I had a heavy duty plastic tote that fit the bill as a replacement!
The black plastic box is a shipping container used by a nation...
I got very lucky and had a cargo cover given to me by a fellow MV owner (I owe him 2 M135 super single wheels if anyone has a set for sale).
He said he rescued a few of these from a dumpster a few years ago. I don't know what size truck this cover was for but it is way too long for mine.
It...
I'm trying to put 3 filter bags from duda diesel on one of the pipe adapters. What tricks are people using? I stacked the 3 bags, 25 micron in the 10, and the 10 in the 5 and then I shoved the adapter into the 5 micron bag. I'm not too happy with how they're sitting on the lip of the pipe...
Searched a little and wasn't finding the specifics I was looking for.
I have a NOS block heater. Any tips or tricks for installation?
Once plugged in, how long will it take to get the coolant to suitable temperature for starting in worst case scenario PA winter?
Thanks!
