The original style rubber expansion well nuts have had issues for many folks. The replacement model bulkhead fitting that I posted above has worked for me. As it is brass and viton, it should be relatively unaffected by diesel and oxidation.
In principle, the solid brass fittings should seal...

If so, I can confirm that the ones I purchased came with viton o-rings. Note: these are the bulkhead fittings with flats on the threads for a wrench to make installation...
DeOxIt is my go to cleaner/deoxidizer. I think that there is a difference between clean (free of gunk), and electrically clean (free of oxides and other insulating materials). You want the latter. DeOxIt isn't cheap, but a little goes a long, long way, so the cost/use ends up being not much.
If...
Most should accept 28V as it is in the range of charging voltages for a 24V battery bank, e.g. this pure sine 2kW inverter accepts 21-31V

I've never used this brand above personally, so I can't comment on it otherwise...
Depending on what you want the power for, you might look for a 24V inverter to get your 120VAC. Prices have come down a lot, though I give you that a bunch of power semiconductors might not have the reliability of a copper coil.
Good luck,

Perhaps it is just me, but I think that if you have, or might have, youngsters around, I would consider putting a lock on the cover of those open transfer switches, if possible, to keep little fingers out of the live contacts and wires inside.
I realize that they are UL listed, and have an...
Think of it like an electric fence- you may not remember beforehand, but when you are shocked at the post, you'll be reminded. :) 😉
All the best,

I agree that it isn't an award winning design. However, it is cheap, and the design is used in lots of senders. A little gunk can go a long way toward erratic readings in my experience. Brake cleaner and a Q-tip is usually pretty effective in my experience, but I'm sure that is a YMMV item.
All...
In my limited Yanmar experience, it is unusual for an L70 engine to stutter or stumble the way yours is doing, and @FarmingSmallKubota's suggestion of the injection pump not being engaged properly, or with a bent pin/rack would certainly do it. That is an easy check; remove the inspection plate...
Unburnt fuel looks very different; usually either clouds of white smoke (uncombusted fuel) or "rolling coal". Personally, with diesel engines, I have found that it is helpful to become proficient in the different colors of smoke and their possible causes as it can really speed up the...
Hmmm... that looks like oil from here. Does it clear up at all? If not, have you checked the entire intake path to make sure there isn't something plugging it up?
If it doesn't clear up, I would wonder about valve guides or rings being an issue, or even a cracked head, but I would check the air...
@Coug thanks for the specification. Actually, I think that the specification goes further in 6.1; "Material covered by this specification is intended for use in gaskets for watertight and airtight closures. It is not intended for use in equipment dor food service or containers for potable...
+1 on DeOxIt over other brands, and I would also second the advice to check guitar or music stores (I've also bought it there in the past), but also electronics parts stores, if you have any in the area.
I would also leave the doors open, weather permitting for the generator to dry out.
All...
Or hook up the wires to the terminal board incorrectly.
I had that wire burned up in a generator that I bought. Hot tip: it is not listed in the TM. @Guyfang put me on to it here;

I agree a softer isolator set with increased sway is going to be hard on a number of things. That is not to say that the current set is the right stiffness. I've been down that path with a number of pieces of custom equipment, and I think that it is often like the old story of pulling on a...
I agree 100%. It does seem like an unusual design / specification choice, but one made repeatedly. So I'm probably missing some important design consideration. Three points alone define a plane; four takes alignment. Losing one of four mounts leaves the load well out of vibrational balance due...
I really liked your video and the analysis of your vibration issue. I found it very informative. I do not know that I would have thought of a height difference in the mounts being an underlying cause of a vibration issue, but now that you have pointed it out, "Duh!", I can see how a lack of...
I'm glad it helped. Most of the ends take high temperature crimp connectors, but if you use the MIL-Spec parts, they will be fine. If you can get most or all of them as a wire harness, that sounds like a win to me.
Allthe best,

@hdsadey The white wire with braid is almost certainly TGGT (Teflon-Glass-Glass-Teflon, occasionally as TFFT Teflon-Fiberglass-Fiberglass-Teflon) wire, with a special insulation and temperature (450C/840F) and amperage rating. The higher amperage ratings follow from the high temperature...
