If you have a 250 Cummins pull one bolt at a time that holds the water pump an use Never-Seize on the threads. Replace and do another till all six are done. Bolt is 9/16 and there are six of them. You might thank me later.
Also this is the grease I use for the water pump.
Got my Brownies from Pete and Sherial for my help on a recovery and he also bought my truck. Had to have a ride home from his place so we loaded up Blazer so I don't have to ride the short bus home. Thanks Pete now this poor boy can eat good tonight.
I just went to the truck parts shop and got a switch for 9 bucks. All the ones I found that direct fit the trucks or so called military were 60 bucks and over. For 50 bucks I will put ends on my wiring.
Never thought it would work but just for smitts and giggles . The winch on the Polaris is a 3500 so I wonder. Owell at least the new toy is Green enough but now I need some long ramps.
Once again Chris saves the day. I still left some of my stuff behind. Good thing I did not cross any truck scales. Removed the passenger seat before I left. There are 54 M939 mufflers and 16 seats. Chris was nice enough to come and take away all my cardboard and there was alot. Dang little...
Trying to help Pete aka P&C trans. with a problem. I only have the 250 motor in my M925 and just learning about the 8.3 that Pete is working on. I sent him a good picture of the bleed screw forward and between the IP so he can bleed the system out. I also after reading want him to check the...
I was looking over the TM's and I can't find the pic again but there is a screen filter on the Allison on the bottom tailshaft on my M925.
They called it the governer filter. Anyone serviced this or seen the beast. I am not haveing any problems.
Ok these are not speedi sleeves and there is no correct PVC pipe to install these correctely. I found a peice of exhaust pipe from my M915 that fits just about correct to catch the the install collor at the end of the ring /wiper. I took my ring/wiper off just to look at the spindle and there...
Guys I know most of you have done a good job on replacing the seals on the drums but here we go.
I use a wheel dolly. I know most do not want to buy one for one truck and that is understandable.
The CR seal 47660 is a tight fit on the spindle when all is correct. I found that if I placed and...
Could someone please help me find what TM this air brake part is in to see if we can service it. I tryed to add some air tool oil/cleaner but it has a slow weep on the blow off. If I have to get another one guess I will. This one is on the last tandem. Thanks
I found the starter cable in bad shape and had the clamps holding it to the bottom of the cab just like it came for AMG.
I'm glad I did the battery relocate as it might have worn through and made a bad. This area is 22 inches from the starter end of the cable so might want to keep an eye on this...
I needed to post the pics as there is someone who's name I don't think I should ree Pete that says all I do is chase under age girls and drink beer. I used this bar stock from tractor supply and reused the 939 old battery hold down bolts. I used 20 feet of new cable and went under the frame to...
I have a 1982 M925 with the chamber showen in the pic. I took it compleately apart and here is what I found. The truck parts place had the D12 and D16 diaphrams. The D12 fit the lower marked in black but was thicker at the seal edge. The D16 has a taller hat or depth to it and there is a sealing...
I just got the 925 and was going to do the battery relocate thing. I have removed the battery box and stuff to redo the floor and deal with a little rust that was there because of the rubber mat. Ok can anyone help me with this problem. I know that wire # 569 is 12volt pos. but here is what I...
