    Stacking filter bags

Nube WMO filter Mk. II My 5hp engine and gear head pump has worked out very well, but I was looking for a more compact filtering unit and wanted to use the cheaper filter socks in place of the expensive spin-ons. So I needed to come up with a filter-sock housing. I used an old fire...

And After I Had Hung the Birdfeeder in the Tree the Tree Fell Over

WOW ... another Bill Bryson fan!!! I'll bet old Bill could knock off a GREAT book about the trials and tribulations of owning a Deuce. He wouldn't even have to drive it up (or down ... or up AND down) the Appalachian Trail. oddshot

And After I Had Hung the Birdfeeder in the Tree the Tree Fell Over

Are there a LOT of trees down in Eastern Pa? Is the power knocked out? Are the roads nearly impassable and dangerous to drive on? I got a NASTY ex-wife that lives out in Shamokin. I just hope she's having a WONDERFUL day. oddshot

Welcome aboard ... and count this as your lucky day! Loco_Hosa put up one of the best and most generous posts to a nube I have ever seen on this forum. Some folks around here don't like nubes ... they don't like people modifying these trucks .... and they don't like people asking questions...

    Stacking filter bags

Yes I am. I going to be pumping through them using the set-up I posted here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/alternative-fuels/70546-nubes-wmo-pump-filter.html I filtered about 400 gallons using this setup and haven't really had any problems ... It can be a little messy ... and I never...

    Stacking filter bags

Coincidentally, I went through the same thing earlier this week. It took a bit of wrastlin' but I was finally able to get all the socks fitted "pretty reasonably" down onto the pipe adapter. I am setting the assembled socks and pipe adapter down into a "strainer basket" that I have fashioned...

    Any Regrets Bobbing Your Deuce?

What "stuff"? I bought the truck for $1500, I got the trailer from GL for $150. The drive shaft was $100, the U-bolts were the same ... that's $1,850. I guess I put about $100 worth of nuts and bolts into the project. I sold the extra rear axle for $200 ... and all the "trimmin's" went to...

    CD/AM FM radio player

Every once in a while I start looking for a set of 'muffs like that. The dream would be to find something that is 1) Wireless 2) Combines with a mike for intra cockpit conversation (so I'd need TWO) 3) hooks up to CB radio 4) hooks up to am-fm cd player. and the biggest one ... 5) cheap...

Can you burn this in the Deuce?

A number of people will tell you that burning WMO in these engines is a bad idea. The "tacky" part IS a little off putting. But ... If you get enough of it to make it worthwhile ... a couple hundred gallons or so ... I would try to get the manufacturers product description on the stuff...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got the right front axle boot installed, cleaned checked and packed the bearings ... adjusted the brakes. It took me 6 hours ... Now the boots on both sides are done ... all the bearings ( fronts and rears) are cleaned checked and packed ... all seals are replaced. ( see post 282 this thread)...
