SeaFoam is what I used successfully on mine to flood the IP and soak the internals.
I continue to use it in the fuel and also add two-cycle oil to keep it happy
Ray70’s method of bringing the IP back to life worked for me perfectly.
His advice (and others!) helped me save my 002A.
I used these on both the NF-2D and also a warehouse cart.
Fit great and zero issues.
You should start your own thread for additional questions and to document the work on your unit.
Thanks for the tip!
Will install when the weather cools down a bit.
Electricians should be here later next week to install a generator hookup at the power pole.
If you replace the tire, replace the tube.
Their inexpensive and your already in there.
Recommend you use silicone grease on the beads.
Makes removing the tires at a later date MUCH easier.
It does not.
By all appearances it looks like all factory work and nothing is modified.
I'll install it as recommended.
It will rarely get used.
Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to melt anything.
Exactly that.
I do have the adapter that I bought NOS.
It’s heavy and works well and is difficult to remove once you insert it.
I used the adapter and my CUCV to start machine several times when I was waiting for my batteries to show up.
Now it will be a backup
All ground straps are in place and in great shape.
The original (old at least) has the ground cable going directly from the port to the starter in one continuous cable.
I couldn’t tell from the TMs either.
The original one on there now, the cables are almost identical length.
The positive is a tad longer with a Flag terminal on it and the negative cable is about an 1" or so shorter with a ring terminal on it.
NOS one is the same in all aspects, except the length of the negative cable.
Double...
So a while ago I ordered a NOS slave plug with
Cables.
My intention was to replace whole unit as the original cables look horrible.
They work fine, just look terrible.
Doing a NSN search, I found and ordered the NOS part.
When part arrived, the positive cable is the same length as the original...
Moved this trailer to a better spot to run the two generators I store inside it.
It usually sits in heavy shade, but I let it sit out in the hot sun for two days to burn the creatures out.
Trailer frame and cover flaps had spiders all in it.
None inside cargo space at all.
All good now
