They've had that law for the motorcycles for a while, of course it wouldn't have helped with the 5T lol. There's been too many times where I'd be stuck at a light in PA (Lancaster to Coatesville area) waiting on the **** thing or traffic to give me a break.
Most likely the same way the original design handles it, springs and bolts. I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of that design, but after seeing the pictures in this thread I've decided to stick with it for now. The damage looks to be limited to those same attachment points and saving the rest of...
I forgot to post up that I bought a couple of the 250lb magnets and 3' of chain, so far there has only been one light that they didn't trip. Of course, I also noticed that I broke one of the two magnets eye bolts, so I lost that magnet. Not sure how that happened since they're still sitting...
71DueceAK check out my build thread on my version of what you are trying to tackle. I understand that you really want to keep the bed on the truck and build a box of wood to live in. However I would strongly urge you to consider otherwise. You could modify the bed of the non-dropside and turn it...
Remember that gladhand we fixed in the back Jeff? Yeah...I gotta fix it again, apparently it hung up in the trees around here at some point. I think this time though I'm going to mount both of them on the inside of the frame so that it don't happen again.
Got a screen shot of that CAD drawing? I'm curious to see what your solution is. I'm still leaning towards under the chassis behind the rear axles. It's either there, or mounted on the rear doors for the ISO containers.
Looks like something off of Mad Max lol
I like the idea rolled around in here of using the 4 shackle mount points, and pivoting off the bottom set. But when I extend the front pat of the chassis for the winch that means it'll also push the brush guard out too which I'm not good with. I like to...
The reason I was asking if the chassis' are the same is because I should be getting some 939 chassis at the same time. Of course I'd rather use the 939 chassis for the trailer but if they are the same then whatever is left when I'm done extending the truck's chassis can be used to extend the...
Lol no worries, I've chewed his arse more than once for that kind of behavior. He is a very young hunter (15yr old) though and has learned much from me already. When he asked me to come help skin a deer it was atrocious, he barely harvested anything from the carcass and said he was done. I spent...
