This race is getting tight!
Towering over the soccer mom SUVs is fun when I surprise the kids in the pick-up lane!
I put this on when the state wide mask mandate went into effect just to appease the crazy folk and offer up some comic relief from the lock down...
I contacted my district representatives here is WA to support HB1439. They were happy to hear from me but they have to wait until it clears the House and moves on to the Senate before they can vote on it. I don't know if there are folks in the House to contact or maybe it's already in motion.
Thanks for chiming in guys, but I was hoping for something more definitive. Going till it stops is a bit subjective. Like if I use my favorite wrench till it stops it won't be enough:
If I use a 1" impact till it stops I might be snapping off studs.
There's got to be ft-lb number...
I've been looking for the torque spec for the nuts that fasten the two halves of the A2 combat wheels with the 3/4" studs, but I haven't found anything. Does anyone know what the correct range is? Does it differ by brand of wheel?
How much antifreeze are you all adding to 16.00R20s? In the video he mentioned he started with 1 pint (16 oz) and would most likely double it (32 oz) for 14.00-20s, i believe.
A balance bead manufacturer lists 36 oz worth of beads for the 16.00R20 size of tire. Does 36 oz (4.5 cups) of...
My passengers taking a pic after the Veteran's Day parade this past year
And one of my favorite mods - the grenade micro-switch that turns on the jake brakes when I squeeze the handle!
Memorial Day ceremony and a fun local car show before they banned military rigs for being too heavy for their new asphalt driveway. They even banned the M37...
That's a great story. I would love to run into to someone who served with my truck and get some first hand knowledge of its history and hear their stories. The closest I've come to that is meeting a guy at a car show whose MOS and training was to drive M813s at the same base (I think) that my...
The heater was on the passenger side and not plumbed in for 2 years until I did the turbo install. At that point the heater moved to the driver side and was finally hooked up to coolant lines and the heater ducts.
...and the campaigning continues:
VIC-1 intercom
Heater-in-a-can (now functional! )
And finally, here's a video cruising around after the turbo install 😁
There's some stiff competition this year, but my truck and I would appreciate any votes you may want to send our way 😁
I will be...
I'll start off the campaigning with Miss January 2021 - my 1981 M813A1
There has been a lot of work done to this beast since its January nomination - mainly a turbo setup, a #17 fuel button, a coolant filter, and finishing the heater-in-a-can project. Here are the highlights:
BHT3B turbo...
I remember watching that truck when FTF Tech first offered it up for sale. They mentioned that mounting the front wheels like that made it over width for shipping so they would ship it with the wheels mounted as Silverstate55 suggested and then would arrange for a roadside tire service to...
This sounds like a great project! My son is urging me to do this with an M814 with a shorter bed.
In case you haven't seen it, here is a walkaround of Soni's M920
