My M1165 I bought as a non runner and it needed a new pump. My M1123 has always been fine. I have changed a belt and fluids fuel gauge and sending unit. Fuel gauge didn’t work when I got it.
The square box with the vents on it? I looked underneath for the lines and it didn’t look like it had very much slack in it. I need to replace that wood underneath it. I will have to get a better look at it. Thanks
I’m sure you have many options without adding a air lift bumper. I have a m1123 and a m1165 and bumper hangs down so far and I think it’s only good for mounting a license plate
I don’t like the battery compartment. I see wires
first thing I did was take the troop seats off and added a c-pillar. I have the troop carrier top and hoops but I don’t have a use for it. Might be nice if you were building a truck for camping
I have the oz’s also and they are from 2002. They drove good at any speed. I had a tire fail badly and I took a brand new 2014 oz off my m1165 and now 40 mph I’m bouncing and it smooths out at 50 and I have only gone 55 on it. I was a big fan of the run flats but after seeing what my tire looks...

I got the drivers side intake off and I removed the rear fuel lines. I don’t think I can get the front lines off with the generator in place. I will try it again when it cools down. I couldn’t touch anything under the hood that was in the sun. I will get my parts cleaned up in the shade.
I had 20 year old oil that came out of my truck and it looked better than what I put in. I wish I would’ve had it tested. I have always thought like you and for the same reasons.
I got all of the bolts out of the drivers side manifold and it wasn’t too bad. Power steering reservoir will be hard to get out of the way when/if I get around to reinstalling it. I think I can leave my 28” long generator in place. I don’t know how access to the injector lines will be. Find out...
