Nice complete post for a conversion! One minor terminology correction, they are tab filters, not spin on. This is the Stanadyne fm100 system, way better than stock imho
I doubt its filters. Ive had my truck shut off while driving and up to that point, had no indidcation the filters were getting bad. I say have your injectiors pop tested and adjusted then check valve lash. Id go to the fuel system after checking the air filter. Just my 2 cents .
Some leds are voltage specific, and others are "omnivolt". They are also polarity specific - if you wire it backward, they don't work. I'd sell the ones you've got and look for another set. I like Maxxima, they have a 5year warranty.
Also, if you tackle it, leave slack in the chain around the tire. It will expand and cause issues if theres no slack. the bead usually seats around 25-30psi, so dont poop your pants when it happens. Once the tire has slid over 5he ring, the danger is gone.
5hats not 5he way its supposed to work. Usually the stop gets stripped like that when someone doesn't use 5he cable right. Have you tried twisting the handle? Some folks rotate the handle so the stop doesn't engage
If its all 3" that should work fine! A little info for anyone that doesn't know what Mike is talking about.

If it wasnt installed right it could be the cause. Some of them need shims, more importantly all of them need the brace at the opposite end of the starter. I'd start there.
